Problems with HDMI sync

When working it is amazing. Dolby Vision and HDR work great and look amazing on my LG OLED TV. The problem is I have to reboot the CC every time the TV is turned off. When I turn on the tv and try to cast the TV changes input to the CC but shows the error No Input. If I reboot the CC then it will work. I can change inputs and come back to the CC and all is fine until the tv is turned off. LG replaced the circuit board with the HDMI inputs so it is not the tv. All other 4k devices work fine only the CC requires a reboot.

I have three of these now and enjoy using them to control parts of my home. I also have the Echo. The GH is more conversational than the Echo and in follow up inquires. For example if you ask about your local weather and than say "What about New York City" you will get the weather report for NY City. and than say "what about tomorrow" you will get the report for NY City for tomorrow.
Additional features and support of other devices are being released almost daily. Sound is not bad, I mean it is not a Sonos. Speaking of Sonos, the ability to connect to multiple Chromecast audio devices if more flexible than Sonos. For example if you have 3 Chromecasts say A B and C you can combine them into multiple groups like with unique names like "Downstairs with A & B" Or "EVERYWHERE that include A B and C" you cannot do that with SONOS where a speaker can be in only one grouping at a time. So I can say "Hey Google play Summertime by Ella Fitzgerald everywhere" and all speakers, in the group EVERYWHERE will sync up and play the song. Or I could say "Hey Google play smooth jazz downstairs" and music will play on speakers A and B (in the example above). So A & B belong to two different groups. Try that on a Sonos. You also can repurpose your Computer speakers, use any powered speaker of your choice, or even something like Grace Digital that has a dock for the Chromecast Audio.
Two new features are: 1. Ability to make phone calls from the GH. 2. You can add multiple accounts to the device allowing each to have their own setup.
You could say "Hey Google call Mom" and it will call YOUR mother. If your spouse says the same thing it will call His/Her mother. It knows your voice.
So yes I highly recommend this device

I normally prefer Android however, when looking for an Android based tablet, I was not able to find anything the met my needs. I buy the tech that meets my needs all the time; be it Apple, Samsung, Dell, Asus or how ever. Samsung has a record of abandoning there products after 2 years or so. My wife's Samsung tablet is no longer supported and it is only 2 years old. Current Samsung Tab is using last year tech for example.
The Ipad Pro meets my needs. It has good resolution, a fast processor, and a pencil. I am frustrated by the limitation on customizing but I have been able to set it up to work for me. IOS has been a challenge but I am getting use to it. I still prefer Android for my phone and other devices like the Nvidia Shield TV which actually will support AirPlay via an App. So I am able to integrate the IPAD with my current home theater set up.
So overall I am happy with my purchase. I had the Ipad air 2 before (which I gave to my tech challenged wife). The LTE feature is a nice addition. I was able to get the Pro at a discount so it made it a better buy than Android tablets at the time so that made it even easier to make the choice.
For fellow Android users don't be afraid to take a look at the Ipad Pro.
For those interested my current tech is Samsung Note 8 (had 3,5, and 7 which a smoking hot phone), Samsung Gear 2 LTE watch, Nvidia Shield TV set top. LG E6 65 inch OLED, Yamaha RX 3030 Receiver, DISH Hopper 3, and of course the IPAD PRO LTE.

The best phone ever. Samsung has out done themselves again. I had the Note 7 and had to go back to the Note 5. Both great phones. This one has all the features and then some of the Note 7 except for 2. No stylist and of course no Smoking. The screen is gorgeous. Android 7 and the new Touchwiz makes for a fast smooth running machine. The extra screen real estate is really nice. Battery life is more than acceptable. Overall Fantastic!!!

Amazing Picture

So I have had this now for over a month. It has been calibrated (highly recommend that service) and the image quality is amazing. Even standard 1080 programs look better than before.
You have not seen House of Cards until you have seen in 4K HDR
I had a 2012 model LG LCD 55" 3D model and the 3D on this one knocks it out of the park. Avatar, it is like I am there look out a window. really draws you in to the movie.
Web0S is good and the apps are adequate. I use an Nvida Shield TV so not worried about the number or quality of the apps on LG TVs other than things like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Youtube for delivery of 4K Content.
The "Magic" remote is nice. Wish it were backlit. When you select a HDMI Input the remote will switch functions and be come a remote for that device. When I select the HDMI port that the Shield is connected to than the remote becomes a Shield remote. Works great for all the basic functions and some of the more advance functions.
Overall I am more than happy with my purchase.

I did a lot or research before I bought this unit. I like the fact that it connects to the internet to allow me to start cleaning while away. Also it lets me know when it is done and shows the areas cleaned in a "map"
The dust bin is adequate and I just empty it once it is done cleaning. Will not replace regular vacuuming but does help to keep the dust down between regular cleaning. Easy to replace parts (brush for example). Would buy Neato again.

Not as bright as the Lifx

So these work ok but as to brightness for $180 I can get 3 Lifx bulbs that do not require a hub. The Amazon Echo cannot change the color of the Hue bulb or much else. Only on or off. With the Lifx Echo will change colors and level of brightness. Hue is 60watt and Lifx is 75watt equivalent and the Lifx only requires 1 watt more than the Hue for the added brightness. I can control my Lifx via voice with both the Echo and Google Home (have full voice control over Hue with GH only).
I am only giving this a recommend because for some people (Those using the Apple Home) this may be the best alternative.
If you are using Google Home and/or Android than Lifx may be a better choice.

WIFI Problems

I am coming from the Android community and this is my first IOS device. One problem I am having is with WiFi. It will disconnect in the middle of downloads or games. I have had several different Android devices including 4 phones, 3 tablets and two tv set-top devices and never had a wifi problem like this. Other than that the device is ok. I will bring it back to BestBuy to see if it is just my device or a problem with the whole line.
It is taking some getting use to the differences. I do like Facetime, and there are some apps that are not available for android. Some of the games are fun (when wifi works) and where there are similar apps for both android and IOS the IOS version does seem a little more polished.
Overall I have been enjoying it. I got the Ipad because everyone else in my world seems to be Apple centric. I needed a way to Facetime with my daughter and her family and I need a new tablet so gave in and got the IPAD. It meets my needs for now but I do miss Widgets and being able to customize my home screen and such. But I guess I will get over that.
