It's sleek and small just the way you want a memory stick to be. The only fault I give it is when plugging it into the computer sometime the cover slides forward and you have to hold it back and then re insert.

So I got this because I had a computer that crashed hard. I was suspecting that it was the hard drive but instead of spending ton of money and time on troubleshooting the problem I bought this enclosure. Installing was easy and it's P&P so no major issues with that. The problem turned out to be the hard drive so I wasn't able to recover my information off of it using this product but it worked an I did get to use it for another hard drive and it worked perfectly so I would recommend to a friend thanks.

The case is fantastic. I have used many cases, but this particular one is thin, protective and entirely functional. I love the kickstand. If you are using a Zigg screen protector you might want to get another type because it is a little difficult to install with out raising some of the edges.

What's not so great: The only bad thing is the process of installing the case may actually mess up your screen protector.

can i use a flash drive as a restore disc and what size would i need
Yes you can and most date files for recovery are for the operating system so a small space stick will suffice for what you need.

Hopefully this helps, but Lifeproof cases all come with warranty. If I am not mistaken you can actually send in the problem and they will fix it and return it or send you a new case.
