Make foolproof waffles with this Cuisinart Belgian waffle maker. The vertical shape takes up less counter space, and the brushed stainless steel finish is easy to clean. Pour in batter through built-in spout for consistent thickness. Five browning levels, ready-eat indicator light and audible alert make breakfast a snap with this Cuisinart Belgian waffle maker.

A new way to make waffles

We were skeptical about a vertical waffle maker, but decided to try one knowing that we could return it to Best Buy if we didn't like it. To give it a fair trial, we decided to try only recipes from the booklet that came with it. So far we have tried two different recipes. Both made excellent waffles. We especially like the beeps that sound when the waffle is ready. 18 waffles and counting and not a single failure.
We also like the small amount of space it takes on the counter and the easy clean up.

If lightning takes out the network interface in your PC, and the rest of your computer is still O.K., this product will get you up and running again. Of course you will need a spare USB port. This should also work on a laptop which lacks an either net jack when there is no wifi available.

With satellite and center speakers and a subwoofer, this Yamaha YHT-4910UBL home theater system creates enveloping sound. To build a complete 3D home theater system, you'll also need a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV and a high-speed HDMI cable.

I bought this unit to give me good sound from our TV. Frankly, we get a beautiful picture on our TV, but poor sound. With the Yamaha RX-V377 and the NS-P40 speakers, we get excellent sound. We are not sophisticated music listeners, but it sounds good to us. Tied into our TV with the new ARC, HDMI cable, it comes on a second or two after the picture. (The first HDMI cable we tried didn't work.) Setup was awkward because our use, listening to TV sound, seems to be a design afterthought. The unit appears to be designed to feed multiple sources INTO the TV rather than enhance the sound COMING FROM the TV. Still, it works for us. The acoustic optimizer set up worked very well. After this process, the sound was even better than anything we had expected.
On the down side, we now have to control the volume from the Yamaha remote rather than the TV remote. Also, after even the briefest power outage, the unit must be manually turned on again.
We also wish the headphone jack worked differently. First, cutting off all the speaker sound to listen to the headphones is not always desirable. This is particularly true if one member of the family is hearing challenged. Second, running across the room to plug in or unplug the headphones is a pain. (Our headphones are wireless.) This should be handled by the remote.
It would also be nice if one could go on the Yamaha site and look up how to configure a particular TV to work best with the RX-V377.
We may have spent too much, but we do have great sound.
