You need Zigbee repeaters

All the poor reviews are from people that do not have sufficient Zigbee repeaters (and not Z-wave repeaters). The smartthings hub and power outlet switch are the only official smartthings Zigbee repeaters, and the outlet switches are expensive ($60) to cover a large home. Turns out the OEM version of the outlet can be purchased from Lowes under the Iris brand. They look identical because they were probably made by the same company. If you go to the smartthings forum you can download the custom device profile to enable it as a smartthings outlet. It can be had for about $25-35 depending on available sales. I have covered my home with 3 outlet switches (to form a large triangle), and since then I have no connection problems with the arrival sensor. Battery life has also been extended because the connection problems are gone.

Image quality could be better

Overall I really like this camera and its CVR (continuous video recording) service ($99 a year); however, I really wish the 1080p image quality was higher. I have it facing outdoors through a window to monitor the front yard, and even with the 1080p resolution I cannot pick-up license plate numbers of suspicious vehicles.

Early problems gone

When I first installed this I had problems with it disconnecting on its own, and it was unable to reestablish a connection. I called customer service and they said it is because of my wifi speed being <1.5mbps where it is currently located. I promptly relocated the device and since then my connection has been rock solid with no issues. This was almost 4 months ago. I don't pay for the subscription because I don't need the ability to monitor beyond 12 hours at a time. I may subscribe (month-to-month) when I go on a vacation.

I have the Vornado 660 and wanted another Vornado for my office room. Performance-wise, it cannot beat the 660 for the equivalent airflow-to-noise ratio. It is true that the power consumption is reduced, but having to increase the fan speed to get the equivalent performance as the 660 made it less of an energy saver. The fan comes with a potentiometer that allows infinite adjustment of the fan speed, which is a step-up from the 660's digital controls, is probably the only thing that is great about this. Also the real eye-sore is the DC power brick it comes with.

We purchased one initially and ended up buying 3 more to use in other rooms. It is very powerful at the max setting and could get loud in a quiet room. However, we usually set it to mid and low for everyday use. Very durable and built to last. Power consumption is about 55W at max and about 28W at the min setting.

Wish it was brighter

I thought this would be more brighter than the colored bulbs but since it has a fixed temperature rating I couldn't really tell the difference. Wish Philips would make a brighter bulb (75W equivalent) soon. For basic lighting purpose this one is OK for the price.
