Good build but should have been Xbox PC layout.

For my usage, I tried to use the controller instead of the Xbox controller on windows PC. The setup was simple just plug it in and switch to PC mode and it recognizes it as an Xbox controller. Even the wireless dongle also works just plugging it in. The layout is just like an Xbox controller with the extra pad in the middle, but using it on PC you don’t get to configure or use this. You can switch it to the PS4 or PS5 setting, but the PC doesn’t recognize it unless you use Steam. And some games show the PlayStation layout while most just show it as Xbox.
I do like the overall feel and build is solid. If feels and works better then the standard Xbox controller except for the start and back buttons are a little small. If this was just an Xbox controller layout I would make this my mains controller. I also like the bottom buttons especially as you can customize them. The problem is since it tries to be a PlayStation control with the Xbox stick layout you get the worsted of both.
The other downside is the software. It’s not easy to use and confusing as you need to be connected as a PlayStation controller on the PC. It’s also confusing as you cannot modify the default layouts and instead need to copy and edit which isn’t too clear. I was also unable to click the update button.
While it’s nice to customize the buttons, if you are using this on a PlayStation to have to get a computer to do it is a lot of work.
While I want to like it I feel with the PlayStation layout and clunky software that it’s not a good choice.

Great way to make food and now inside your house

I’ve always wanted a smoker, but worried about where to set it up especially in the winter when we get lots of snow, the GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker solves that problem. I have used it in an extra room, as you do get some of the smell of the smoke and depending on what you’re cooking you may need to open the door so I’d recommend somewhere close off at least a little to control the smoke and smell. I would say a closed kitchen or even one with a fan in case you need it will be good. For me, even in that small room its never been so smokey you couldn’t go in except one time when the breaker went off. Important reminder to plug this into the wall directly, because if you’re smoking and power shuts off the smoke does go out.
Besides the fact that you can smoke indoors, how else does it work? For me its been an overall great experience and the food has been amazing. Setup is simple as you unbox it and take off the tape, then add water and pellets and you’re ready to go. The app and preset options are great especially being able to monitor the temperature of your food when you’re using the probe. The one issue I’ve had with the app is not being able to change the temperature from it, as it sends it to the smoker but you have the physically press the button to start it.
The food so far has tasted amazing, and you know when it’s done when you use the probe. Of course, a lot of this is from the pellets you get, so make sure you pick ones that work and ones that meet your taste needs. Only issue I had was the auto keep warm temp was too high for a beef roast I did, so it ended up a little overcooked as it hit the temp and stayed too warm.
The one thing with the indoor smoker is the size is smaller than regular smokers that I’ve been. This is good because its easier to fit in an indoor space, but does limit what you can smoke, as for example I cannot smoke a whole turkey. While it is smaller than a regular smoker, its still a pretty large size and you need to have it 4 inches from the wall so you’ll need some space. For the size of the family, I have and food I make it works great, but something to note.
I highly recommend this is you’re looking to get into smoking (or already are) but don’t have a great place to smoke outdoors.

I want to like the dashcam, but feel like what you get compared to what is advertised just don’t match making me disappointed in the overall experience.
First, starting with the install, besides the video not being very easy to follow and there being no instructions in the box, it asks you to install a rear camera. Everything on the box seems to indicate its there and the website did too, but after some further research you don’t actually get the rear camera. Second the advertisement talks about AI guardian mode as features that will help you, but they don’t actually work now (says coming soon as of today). So in the end, you get a dashcam only that allows you to connect to 4g to see it if you are away from the car but nothing else.
On top of the lack of features that are advertised, the price is pretty high especially when you consider the monthly fee that really isn’t necessary if instead of 4g slow connection you could connect it to your wifi at home when you are parked. Since the 4g is slow, its not like you can view whats going on live and instead most of what I found tends to be delay. So it would be nice to know that something happened to your car in a parking lot, but you cannot actually see it happening even if the get the notice. So far the only notice I have actually gotten has been me getting in the car, and I get this every time, so I end up ignoring it.
Moving on to the app, its not very good. As I said the setup instructions are poor and you cannot even rename the device. Since they really want you to use the rear camera that isn’t included, anytime you watch a video you are stuck with one of the slots saying “no rear camera”. And since I have so many notices, all I have is parking events that are me getting in. It also for some reason tells me there are parking events when I’m stopped at a light or in traffic, even though the car is in drive.
Maybe with further software updates it will get better, but at this point I don’t feel you get anything useful and more just disappointment compared to what is advertised. The only good thing that I can see is that you can go through all the videos so if something happens you have it, and its also accessible anywhere though slow. A standard dashboard that records what happens is going to work just as good at the moment.

Great office headset but software lacking

I work in an office with many people talking around, and while I get to meet in person, I also have zoom and teams calls. The one thing you’ll notice right away is the noise canceling which is excellent. When I turn it on and use the headset, I don’t hear anyone near me, and cannot hear myself typing. So it really lets you focus on your meeting without the noise. From the people I talk to, they say the mic works good too so overall a great experience on that side.
The headset is comfortable, and I like that you have a usb c option, usb a option and even a cable directly. Plus on top of that you get a nice bag to carry everything in. Overall well designed and easy to take with you if you’re on the go.
The one issue I had was with the setup. Since I’m using this for work, and the work computer doesn’t allow installing of apps that need admin access, its disappointing that the software doesn’t’ have an option for this. I had a great experience just connecting to Bluetooth but I imagine I’m not the only one using this for work that is unable to install the software without having an IT request in to allow me to use the software.

I got the camera right before a party, and excited to try it out, so I ask someone to open it. They do, and try and get it to work, and then I look at it. Guess what, no film? So I am not able to use it right out of the box. I get that the file is expensive, but I would still expect that you include something when you buy a new camera like this. I have another instant camera, that came with a hand full of films to start with. Its also not anywhere on the box that you’d actually need to get file before you can use it.
The camera itself looks nice, and I was excited to use it, but since I wasn’t able to use it for my party it wasn’t a very good experience. Sure you can go online and check out the files you can get, but nowhere does it say you need to buy the file for the camera, as it doesn’t come with any. The price of the film is also pretty expensive, so wanting to have a few to start with would make me buy more rather then dislike this camera.
If you’re looking for a quick fun camera, there are better options with cheaper film. So I would recommend you look elsewhere then here.

As a background to my review, I have two other robot vacuums in the house from two other brands. One of them is not smart, it just goes around without a map, and another one is and has a map and offers the same room by room cleaning that iRobot does. So my review is based on other experiences, and not just getting a new robot vacuum.
First thing I really liked when getting the box is that its ready to go right out of the box. You open the box, pull it out, plug it in and place the vacuum on the charger and its ready to go. Everything is put together and even the waste bag is already inside so you don’t have to do anything. It also comes with an extra waste bag and extra brush. From my other experience you don’t get the extras and there is always a manual on how to assemble things.
Once plugged in the setup is also pretty easy. Just get the iRobot app and follow the steps. The app finds it and connects and you’re ready to go. As far as the app goes, its decent once you learn it. I did a map run first to make a map and it was OK, though it didn’t get all the rooms right and it looks odd you can edit it enough to make it work. I do wish I could edit the rooms, as it has some odd things where furniture is, but at least I can tell it to go to the room.
Now onto the actual vacuuming. I have a do that shed some, and for that it works great. It got some of the corners that I usually find hair left in after some other vacuums. The smart feature to avoid things works too, though I tried to put some stuff in the way and it turned around and went back home but didn’t tell me. The app works good to show you where it went, but no notifications if it misses a part of the room.
So the one thing that to me is a miss, that you have to version of the j9, one with a mop and one without it. The one I have is without the mop, and I would hope being the same you could add that later but it doesn’t seem to be possible. So while it’s a good vacuum, just remember that you cannot change it to add the mop.

I have a few Yale smart locks so most of my comparison is to the other ones I own. Overall, the process to get this installed is the same as any bolt lock, and the instruction do provide cut outs if you need them. Since I already had a hole in my door where this would fit, for me it was just taking the old one out and putting the new on in.
Once its installed, you get into the app to set it up. Every Yale lock I’ve had, I seem to need to set it up twice as the first time it fails. Same thing happened here, it didn’t want to connect to my Wi-Fi so I had to re do it and then it worked. I also use Apple HomeKit, and adding this lock worked too so I mostly use that instead of the app. The connectivity options are great, and you can set the key codes and access though the app rather then on the physical lock. Since I have multiple locks, all using the app, its an easy access place for me and then family can use that or directly in HomeKit.
Outside of the app to lock and unlock, you have three other options. You can type in a passcode that you setup, you can use your fingerprint (setup in app) or use the key. To me the odd part here is the key, since the whole point of me getting a smart lock is to remove keys. Maybe it’s a feature someone likes, but the other Yale locks I have don’t have keys so I’d prefer the finger print reader and keypad. On the fingerprint side it works pretty fast, so unless I use the phone to unlock the door before, I walk up to it I tend to use the fingerprint reader.
Overall nice lock that I would recommend especially if you are new to smart locks and want a key, but for me I think this lock would be nicer without a key at all.

Nice tool for home and garden with some flaws

I originally got these as my wife has gotten into gardening and has been cutting by hand, so the hope was that she could save some strength with this. It turns out that it does help, with little plants but not big ones. We have also used it to cut some paper and cardboard, which is works well on too. Getting these working is pretty simple, just charge them and you’re ready to go.
While I overall think this is a good too, there are some flaws. Two things that are my own pet peeves, First, this come with a plug that isn’t standard. It would be much nicer if these could charge with a USB-C cable, as I tend to lose these one off cables. Second there is way too much packaging in the box, and its not even to make the open experience look nice.
The other issue I had was that you need to have a flat surface all around to use these. Regular scissors you’re able to cut even if around what you are cutting is uneven. For example I tried to cut between two bags or frozen chicken, and since the part to cut was between two raised areas, I had to pull out regular scissors. So unfortunately, it means that these cannot be used in every situation.
Overall I think these are nice in certain use cases, but unless you’re cutting a lot of flat surfaces or smaller twigs in your garden, these may not be worth it.

I have my phone up on the dashboard as I use it when I’m driving for navigation. Usually I have to spend the extra time to plug a wire in to charge it when using it, so my hope with this charger and holder could do it all.
I like the overall product, and the fact that you get the cigarette litter and also a USB-C as most cars now have a USB C built in. Its also pretty small and easy to get in a vent of the car. It also feels sturdy and not some cheap plastic like my other holder, so overall it seems great. When the phone stays on the older with the magnet, it works great. It charges my phone and lets me see it and its easy to get on.
Unfortunately, the magnet is not very strong so my phone falls off. I had a small iPhone 12 mini with a light case, so it says on sometimes but when you hit a bump the phone falls off. I also tried an iPhone 13 Pro Max with a case, and it didn’t even stay on. So if you don’t use a case and have a small phone it might work for you, but anything heavy or a thick case and it won’t stay. So this has made the product unusable to me. I could use it as a wireless charger in the house, but the problem is the holder cannot come off so it doesn’t make sense.
If there is an updated version with a stronger magnet, I would recommend it. But right now it doesn’t really work unless you want to constantly be picking your phone off the floor.

I tend to have problems with ear buds, as they all fall out of my ears. So to my surprise, when I first put these in they actually stayed in! They come with a few different size tips, which many others do too, but these actually stay in. Besides them staying in, they are also comfortable and a nice small size so they are comfortable to use. The case is also nice as its small and feels well built, so I won’t worry about dropping it and scratching it.
For me I’ve been using the apple air pods with an iPhone so a lot of my comparison goes to that. If you’re using android or other earphones you might like these even more. Overall though I think they are very comparable and a good alternative to the apple ones. I like that you can use a USB-c or a wireless charger to get the case charged and then the headphones charged, and when you put them into the case they turn off and charge. I did download the app and set them up, and its pretty easy to flip the ANC or pass through in the app, though if you are on iPhone using apple product they build it into the system so it might be a little easier there.
From the sound perspective, these sound great. I like the built in equalizer that you get in the app and is already setup for you although if you want you can do it yourself too. And I used them on a few calls and they have a decent mic. The ANC noise canceling was ok, but nothing super good. I had them on and turned on and could hear someone talking to me in the same room, but considering these are earbuds it wasn’t too bad.
Overall I would recommend these as they are small and fit in your pocket in the case, and actually stay in at least my ear.

Confused about whether this is optical or hdmi arc as it says "Send audio and control information from your TV using just one cable with HDMI ARC" but lists the optical cable as being included and says there are no hdmi inputs and one optical input.
Both work just depends what you want to use. Though it doesn't come with an HDMI cable so you need to connect your own.

I have a Macbook air 2018, does this come with an access code or something to download with? Obviously wouldn't be able to download on computer if it is a disc download.

I own a Microsoft surface pro 6. It has no cd drive, so how do I install it on this device? It's a windows 10 operating system but it's also a tablet?
