If you're a fan of Vin Diesel and action movies, this is a must watch! Great action sequences throughout the film with some amazing stunts. Has a good storyline to keep your attention throughout the movie.
This is the 25th anniversary blu-ray release for A League of their Own, a classic film featuring Tom Hanks. Compared to the previous blu-ray release, this version comes with all-new special features, which includes, "Bentonville, Baseball & Enduring Legacy of A League of Their Own - an unforgettable visit to the annual softball game at the Bentonville Film Festival, featuring all-new interviews with star Greena Davis and more!"
This is a re-released blu-ray of Bambi for The Walt Disney Signature Collection, which was previously released by Disney for the Diamond Edition. Plain blue disc art for the blu-ray (while the Diamond Edition blu-ray had disc art), but this newly re-released version does contain new bonus features that were not included in the previous Diamond Edition release. Picture and audio quality are excellent. The only difference between the Best Buy exclusive and the standard blu-ray release is that the Best Buy exclusive comes with a lenticular slipcover (the artwork for the blu-ray case is the same as the standard slipcover artwork). All of these blu-rays come with a collectible Tyrus Wong lithograph inside.
Since it is known that the movie itself is a very well made live action film, this is my review for the steelbook itself which was a Best Buy exclusive (most likely all sold out by now). This is a very nice looking glossy steelbook. The reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is because many copies were known to have surface scratches on the backside which is covered by the information card. Otherwise, excellent exterior and interior artworks.
This collector's edition release brings together The Mummy film trilogy and Scorpion King spinoff, in advance of the series reboot due to hit theaters in June 2017. Included in this set are The Mummy (1999), The Mummy Returns (2001), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), and The Scorpion King (2002).
This comes with 4 blu-ray discs for The Mummy (1999), The Mummy Returns (2001), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), and The Scorpion King (2002). It also includes a bonus DVD disc. Unfortunately the discs are stacked (placed right on top of each other); 2 on the left side and 3 on the right side. The blu-ray disc arts aren't consistent either, which shows that this was packaged from previous different releases (these are the same discs are previous releases but packaged in a new steelbook). But otherwise, it's a very nice looking matte finished steelbook with inside artwork that shows the combination images of the films.
This 15th anniversary blu-ray release of Jerry Maguire is definitely worth the upgrade from the blu-ray that was initially released in 2008. The color is richer and vibrant with the right saturation. It also comes with all-new special features that were not included in the previous release, and they include:
*Jerry Maguire: We Meet Again - A 3-part retrospective featuring new interviews with Tom Cruise & Cameron Crowe *Nearly 60 minutes of never-before-seen deleted & extended scenes *Photo gallery. *Theatrical Trailer
There is a lot more special features included, but will not list all on here since it is the same as the previous release. The ones mentioned are what is new and different from the previous release. What is also special about this release is that it comes with original CD soundtrack as well as a booklet with an introduction from the director Cameron Crowe himself, followed by the actual 25 page document that is featured in the film "The Things We Think And Do Not Say." Note that this document was included on the previous blu-ray release, but is not included on the 15th anniversary blu-ray disc itself since it is printed on the small booklet.
If you have not purchased Jerry Maguire on blu-ray in the past, the 15th anniversary version is THE version to get!!! You won't be disappointed!
Nicholas Winding Refn takes another unique approach in The Neon Demon, which is a film that people have come to either love or hate. Movie is visually stunning with its amazing cinematography, and the soundtrack combination from composer Cliff Martinez puts this film at another level. Visual and audio quality on this blu-ray is excellent! Extras on this blu-ray set includes:
-The Neon Demon (Unrated Version) [1 hr 57 min] -Audio commentary with Director Nicolas Winding Refn and Elle Fanning [1 hr 57 min] -Behind the Soundtrack of The Neon Demon [5 min 8 sec] -About The Neon Demon [1 min 11 sec]
Stellar cast with Michael Douglas and Sean Penn, this is another great film by David Fincher. There is a Criterion blu-ray release for this film which comes with substantial amount of extras, while this blu-ray release is just bare bones with the feature film without any special features. Video and audio quality are great. If special features isn't worth your consideration, then this version for around $6-7 is the best way to go rather than getting the Criterion for $25+.
This is a classic 90s movie which I loved watching as a kid growing up. Not the greatest video quality transfer, but with decent amount of special features, this is the copy to own if you don't have the DVD.
