Initial install was good. After we got all of our personal data backed up we lost power in a storm. The drive would not reconnect. Now here is the real problem. WD has no way to easily get help. Go to their website and see for your self. There is no trouble shooting section. Only how to's and downloads. When you click the contact us by email you get to the register your product page. As if I would contact them without owning the device. And after the registering several layers to get to the actual body of the email with fields that were not pertinent. Try the phone number method. Again layers to get to a number. Then after listening to several menus still nothing for tech support. Every other major manufacturer I have ever dealt with has a direct tech support number. WD went out of their way to avoid contact. So with a hard drive full of personal info and no way to access it I had to destroy the drive. Not going to return a drive with my info on it. Go browse the WD website and look for a direct number or email. Then choose another product
