The memory is fine. PNY is a brand that I've been using for years. This particular one was a REPLACEMENT for the first one that was bad. Bought at BB, installed at BB, informed that it was bad and I'd need a new one. The tech, rich or wrong, also said about 30% of the memory they get is bad. I don't know if the techs are bad or PNY went downhill.

In general, I have low expectations of products like these. Inexpensive kitchen toys designed to replace "real" products. This is definitely an exception to the rule. It's easy to use and more importantly easy to clean. Just like a waffle maker, it has a timing light to tell you when to when it's hot and when it's done. You have to make sure not to put in to much batter, but the cake pops turn out great. It's the best "non-professional" gadget in my kitchen that I can use on a regular basis.
