Really good album, really unexpected

Why not 5?
Well, thee are a few duds on this album Wake+Bake and Cant Walk ar complete throw away trash. Wake and bake is what has become the typical ode to pot smoking that seems to be on ever last rap album. It was generic and expected. Can't walk on the other had was a HIGHLY experimental track..but it just misses. I applaud MGK for trying it..but it doesn't work. It's an assault on the ears.

Other tracks like The Gunner, Trap Paris, Moonwalkers are exactly the type of song that made MGK famous! Rally good songs, but they lack the catchiness of some of his older stuff like Wildboy, And Cleveland. If you like classic MGK( the more hard, party type rap) then these tracks will stand out to you.
the Radio Play songs ....We have all heard the lead single off this album, Bad Things, at this point. Solid radio play song that tells a story. But there are a couple others on the Cd that are TRULY OUTSTANDING that deserve radio play. GO FOR BROKE may be my favorite song on this album. It's a radio play style song with a great message. It has a great tempo and beat. And switches from chorus to rap verse seamlessly. AT MY BEST also seems to be made for radio song and it deserves to be played on the air.
Where MGK really shines on the album is when he BLOOMS as an artist. The Hardcord rapping kid from the east side of Cleveland give way to the hidden MGK...the kid who wants to not only be a rap star, but also a rock star. Kiss the sky, rehab, let you go, 27 are all fabulous songs! They all rely more heavily on MGK's ability to belt out grunge style vocals over his rap ability and they absolutely succeed in that.
MGK has absolute grown and an artist since his Indy days and even more so sing Diddy and Bad Boy signed him. I must applaud them for allowing him to grow and change as an artist.
MGK has always told stories in his music, but his delivery of that message has now changed. This album will not be for everyone. If you want nothing more then the hardcore wild boy of a rapper that MGK used to be your looking in the wrong place. If you are open to a change and and artist blossoming into something new and special then this is the right album for you.

The classic shines on Blu-Ray

I purchased this BLu-Ray having seen the movie many times on VHS and DVD as a kid. My daughter discovered Robin Hood while being baby sat at her grandmothers and it became an obsession. So the release of the Blu-Ray became a must buy. The upgrade in the image quality alone is worth the purchase if you are a fan of this classic tale. I know we as a family enjoy the movie and I recommend it to those looking for something fun and different then the standard princess fair.

Bought this as a gift for my wife. She's a New Kids on the Block fan from back in the day, and has gone with her friends to one of their recent reunion concerts. She was happy to get the cd. The only reason I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it is a short cd with very few songs. I have yet to listen to any of them, but I can tell you she has enjoyed them.

First let's get this part out of the way....yes it is a "upgraded" version of Mario Kart 8 from the Wiiu. But that is a great thing!
As someone who bought, and played MK8 on the wiiU (along with all the dlc) I was initially skeptical about MK8Deluxe for the switch.
Should I buy it..is it worth it?
YES!
No matter if you are getting it for the 1st time or you are a repeat customer (like me) it's worth the purchase.
New game battle modes immediately set the game apart from its predicesor. They are something my 7yr old and myself find our selves going back to and playing vs each other.
The ability to play it on the tv.split screen or on the go split screen or linked to another switch are fabulous! Take karting on the go wherever you are!
And while you have to collect coins in races to unlock new kart parts. All the characters and tracks are unlocked from the start. This is good and bad. I like to play to "try to unlock" so it was a little disappointing..but to have them all from the start was great esp. with my 7yr old being able to pick whoever and race wherever.
This is the second great must have game for the switch.(after ZELDA). If Nintendo's 1st party games stay at this quality(which I fully expect) then this 1st year of TE switch will be awesome.
If your looking for fast paced fun, and lots of yelling at each other for throwing that blue or red shell just at the right moment to cost your opponent the win then I can't suggest MARIO Kart 8 deluxe enough! Go get it!

Best game in the series, best game of all time?

Let's just start right there.... don't think twice, don't hesitate, buy the game. It is absolutely the best game of the series ever.( yeah traditional list will still say Ocarina is...it's not, not anymore. But that's an argument for other forums )
Breath of the Wild is an absolute breath of fresh air. It keeps so many of the ZELDA traditions, reframing them in a new manner, all while adding so much to the series. i could go on and on in long paragraphs about the brilliance of this ame, but let me make the review easier to read for those of you on the fence.
Pros
100%open world...seriously after the intro that serves as a tutorial you could head strait for the final boss if you wanted, but the difficulty makes him almost impossible to beat.

Massive world. It's huge. Maybe the biggest open world we have ever seen.
Go anyplace. See a mountain? Head for it and climb to the peak...follow the river, tromp through the woods, explore ruins, search for shrines. Seriously do whatever you want.
The shrines ....think of them as 120 brain teasing mind bending puzzles that reward you at the end if your skilled enough to get through them.
The Devine beast- think classic dungeon exploring in ZELDA.
Graphics- the game has a beautiful animated style.
Do what you want... climb a mountain glide down. Swim. see a horse,deer, or even bear, sneak up on it hop on its back and ride it.
The variety of gear-so much gear...and you'll need it weapons break, shields break. Your outfits won't, but you'll need different armor to help protect from the cold, and heat.
Hours of game play- if your like me you can play this game for well over 100hours if you explore for everything hidden in this game.
Difficulty- game will challenge even long time gamers. You will die...a lot!
Cons
Cooking....the part I hate the most in this game is cooking. It's not so much that it's in the game..it's cool to take the stuff you find and cook it up to restore health and give you various stat boosts. No my hatred for it is in how they implemented it! The added steps of having to open inventory, select hold on items, then back out, then cook is annoying and time consuming. The inability to cook multiple dishes at a time is also annoying. This mechanics needed streamlined.

Difficulty - you will die...A LOT! If your a novice gamer expect to die a lot. heck, if your a long time amer expect to die a lot. There are some extremely challenging enemies at times and the game may be too hard for younger players at times.
Rain- I live that it can effect you while playing...makings climbing way harder, almost impossible at times..and lightning, don't get me started...you can get struck by it. My problem with it though is that it almost rains too much...and it always happens when I have something huge to climb! Ugghhh!
That's it really. I can't think of anything else that is a negative.
This game is easily the best I've played in 2017 so far. And while I have played some great games in the past this game immediately jumps to all time great stays..maybe the best game of all time. I can't suggest this game enough. And if my review isn't enough just do a quick internet search and see all the perfect scores it has received. It's a brilliant games in every aspect.

The story-yeah I know I just said it's a pro, but I also feel it's lacking, and feels bland at time. And far to many characters seem to have a softsport, or love for the main character. The wife thinks it hilarious every male character seems to have a thing for her.
The hand to hand combat is clunky at times and doesn't feel very well refined.
Challenge- the game is almost too hard at times.
Some of the skills are worthless.

They are two very different games with very different feels. I have and play both and each game is brilliant in it's own right. And well worth playing if you call yourself a gamer.

The Nintendo Switch is absolutely the future of gaming. The ability yo play how you want, when you want is the thing gamers have been asking for for what seems like an eternity.
Sure, we have had handheld system and console(home) systems for years. And the Wii U and PS4/vita tried to allow us a new way to play with their remote options...but they left us out in the cold on truly playing the same games both inside and outside your home. The switch remedies that.
Want to play on your couch on the tv? Disconnect the joy con, and play either using them individually in both hands, or with the dog ear controller. Want a more traditional controller grab the pro controller which feels comfortable in your hands.
Want to play two player? Hand one joy con to your buddy or child and play together with them turned sideways.
Want to watch something on tv while playing? Undock the switch and play it in handheld mode by connecting the joycon to the tablet. Or play in table top mode with the built in kick stand.
Want to take it to a friend's house slip it in a case (sold by itself) and go. I've seen seen people playing it at the park, at the restaurant, the library and more.
Truly play your games anywhere you want..including while on the toilet.
Now a few quick notes.
Some people have said the dock can scratch the tablet..I have not had this issue nor have any of my friends or family that own the system. A quick fix if your worried is to buy a screen protector just like you would a phone if you are worried...which you might want to do if you play to play it on the go a lot anyway. ( look up Switch dock socks on etsy..if you want a custom way to help protect your system in dock)

There was a brief issue with joy con synch...again I didn't have an issue with this at all, and Nintendo has already corrected the issue in manufacturing and software updates.
Those two issue aside, which has actually been Only on a minority of the 2pkus million systems already sold in a month the switch is fantastic.
My only complaint is lack of "on board storage" (only 32gb)Make sure to buy yourself a 64+ gb sdxc card as your gonna want some of the digital only games. While I wish I didn't have to go that route it's no different then many tablets or phones so we're pretty used to it.
last note: games
If you can get only one....get:
ZELDA Breath of the Wild is easily the best game of the last 2 years. Complete open world adventuring with all the traditional ZELDA charm. Make sure to pick it up.
There are plenty of games in developement set to launch this year and beyond. I can't suggest this system enough. As a gamer (who owns systems from every company) it is a perfect addition to my gaming addiction and an innovation in how we play. One I am sure the competitors will be copying in the near future.
