This is a sharp looking and nicely working laptop. The detachable screen is a novelty feature - I have only used it that way once - but it is nice to have the option to re-orient the screen to tablet / portrait mode. I like the facial recognition feature; it is nice but occasionally spooky. I probably went overboard on the storage but it is nice to have plenty of room for software and documents.

This is one of two essential add-ons for the Microsoft Surface Book (in my opinion). Since it has a somewhat utilitarian function, it could have been made in a utilitarian way, but I appreciate the fact that they designed it to "go" with the overall feel of the machine. It has plenty of connection points for USB, alternate displays, etc.

I really didn't have a choice in buying this adaptor, but it is nicely made and works great. I really like the fact that I can screw the pins on the projector plug into the adaptor - that way nothing can come undone partway through a presentation. Please note that this adaptor must be itself connected to the power module and the power module must be plugged in.
