Doesn't play well with Sonos

The Orbi has been an extremely frustrating experience.
Besides the initial firmware update bug which was easily handled, I have frequent dropouts with iOS (firmware was supposed to fix this but I'm still having problems) and most importantly they simply do not work with Sonos. This is a deal breaker and at $400 I'm not going to wait around and see if a firmware update fixes it.
The problem lies in the fact that Sonos uses its own mesh network relying on the spanning tree protocol (STP). The Orbi simply does not like the interference and drops out the Sonos network.
This is my first mesh router and I'm not sure if the others have the same issue but I'm going to find out. Sonos is too good for me to dump. I went back to my old AC1900 for now and it's a relief. I'll give the Linksys Velop a try when it comes out mid January.
