Mike Nichols' harsh drama Carnal Knowledge comes to DVD with a pair of transfers. The widescreen transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1, and is preferable to the standard full-frame transfer. The closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. English and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a collectible booklet. This is a decent, but not good disc from MGM/UA that will pacify, but not satisfy the film's fans.
