This was overall a great purchase. The magnets inside are super strong and the suction cup has no problem staying on the windshield even in freezing Michigan weather.
Had no problems going through bumps etc. and it held my Samsung Note 4 and Google Nexus 7 tablet while driving. I'm sure it can take the weight of a light weight 10 inch tablet as well like the iPad Air 2 or Galaxy Tab S2.
I also own the Ac vent mounted version of this. So please feel free to comment with any questions about either.

Will this work with the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5?

Yes should work with no issues. My note 4 is heavier than your Note 5 and it had no issues whatsoever. The magnets are plenty strong and do not interfere with the phone's operation.
