Nice clear case that protects all around edges except for area around speakers. Slightly slippery back since it is all plastic with no rubberized material so need to be careful when handling. Clearness of case really shows off iPad color though.

Picked this case up for my wife's IPad Mini2 LTE since it was on clearance sale for $15 and felt it was a good bargin. The case is not cheaply made though and has a good solid quality built and feel to it. It is a deep purple metallic color which looks very elegant. The cover case is similar design to the Apple case, but there is no magnetic latch and is held down by a rubber strap which is probably the one negative about this case. The case holder fits perfectly and made of a soft TPU material. It does make the iPad feel heavier to carry, but does give you a secure feeling.

The thinnest iPad ever is also the most capable. It's loaded with advanced technologies, including the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

I upgraded from the Air and definitely feel the difference in the thin design without a case on. But with a case on it is not that noticeable as well as with the weight. Color does seem deeper and touch response feels more solid. Speaker is more bassier sounding but tends to vibrate the back of the case if there is no case on. With the new ac wi-fi it does seem to download web pages faster. Lightning plug seems tighter to insert compared to my other Apple devices. So I would give a slight recommendation to upgrade if you have an Air already and definite if you have the older version.

Use mainly as MP3 player in my car since I do not want to have my iphone tied up when driving. Same great sounding device as my iphone. I have to use a cable since I do have bluetooth capabilities in my car. I did discover that the type of cable used makes a significant difference in sound quality. The thin standard 3.5mm cable does not bring out the bass or treble sounds as fully compared to the Audioquest Tower cable I tried. It costs a bit more about $20 but worth it.

Does this have Smart Cover functionality?
While the item description does not mention magnetic closure, some of the reviews mention this case working with the auto on/off feature. Does this case feature magnetic closures?
No it does not. There is a small rubber band that latches it close.
