I am using this Sony in conjunction with my Canon for 2 camera recording. The Canon records a more true color and I have to adjust this Sony to match. But the wide angle lens, 4K and sound quality makes up for this. I am using the app that connects this Sony camera's WiFi to my iphone for remote control record start & stop with zoom control of the video picture.

After 12:29 min it will stop recording then start again with a new file with a second delay where I'm loosing footage. Is it because I'm not using a 4K SD card? I'm using a 48MB/S Class 10 32GB. Suggestions?
Files are limited to 4GB in size with the FAT32 file system used on SD cards and computers. It is not so much the length of time involved.When 4 GB is reached that file is full and another 4 GB file is started. The time it takes to start the next file no recorded information should be lost if you are using the recommended SD for that camera and it was formatted by the camera before recording began.

I recorded a 2 1/2 hour video and I need to burn the video to a dvd. What dvd do you recommend?
Blu Ray is the only DVD that can hold that length of time. You didn't mention whether you recorded it in 4k or 1080. The old DVD only will hold 4.7 GB Anything over an hour in wide screen HD results in lowering the quality so it will fit. Plan on using 2 DVD's. Blu Ray is more expensive to buy and the burner is more expensive and the software is more expensive. Amazingly Blu Ray never was considered a have to buy player for most. The norm was 1080p HD and 4K is taking over.

Hi everyone, I am trying to decide between this camcorder and the Canon Vixia HF-G20. They are both the same price. What would you guys choose?
I have both of those cameras. Comparing the recorded color that you get right out of the box Canon is incredible and I have to adjust the Sony to match. The Canon's menu is more professional than the Sony. Okay the Canon has a remote with menu but the Sony has wifi built in and the manual has the name of the app you upload to your phone which allows you remotely record start, stop and zoom while seeing what the camera is pointed at on the phone. The Canon you have to see the screen. Both shoot in low light the Sony has night vision.The Sony has a wide angle lens and 4k. They both record audio really well. The Sony does have a feature that will somehow block your voice from being recorded. I have yet to try to use it. The Canon comes with an attachable lens sunshade that looks cool with a door that flips up to protect the lens or use the lens cap the Sony has an automatic shutter over the lens to protect it built in. I was hoping to buy another Canon but they didn't have one and it was the last day the Sony was on sale. I am glad I got the Sony.

The camera comes with built in wifi the directions in the manual for using the free app that will allow your WiFi accessible phone or computer to connect to the cameras wifi and the app controls the record start, stop and zoom with picture of what the camera is pointed at.

I love my AX33, but can someone tell me why dose it frezz up on me when I'm in the middle of video taping?? The only way I can get it to work again is after disconnecting the battery... If anyone has an answer please let me know if it's fixiable.
