I bought this to protest inkjets and their appetite for more ink. So far, toner hasn't run out. I expect it to last a lot longer than my last printer. That was about 1.5 years (cartridges, every few months, even with no printing...).
Wire-less was completely useless. The software that shipped with it was completely unusable on my Mac. The online area for Brother printers had what I needed, though. USB works fine.
This prints 'good' quality, but I wouldn't try printing a high quality photo. Inkjets still rule that domain...
IT IS heavier than a lowly inkjet, and it DOES take up more space than even an all- in-one inkjet.

What's great about it: Easy set up with USB, quick to start a print
What's not so great: Couldn't make Wi-Fi work (YET... Will try with newer router)
