While this isn't the old school Lupin the Third cartoon with a lot of hokie humor (and dubbed with far too much pop culture referenced), these newer cartoons are well animated and still provide the same sort of clever story telling as before. Very enjoyable, even if a little on the short side.

Okay finish to a strong series

This may be the weak title in the Hobbit films. When you have to fill in a whole battle that wasn't even described in the book, but pieced together from other Tolkien works, it can prove a challenge. The story telling is fairly limited, mostly focusing on the rather extended battle. Still, it brings the whole story to its conclusion and is worth a watch. Look for a few cameos while watching.

Excellent movie, but watch before reading the book

I made the mistake of reading the book first, which was absolutely fantastic. It had really drawn me in and grabbed me. So when I saw the movie, I had very high expectations. That may be coloring my review a little. I think if I had seen the movie first, I would have given it five stars, but it was still very good all the same.
Do yourself a favor and see this movie, preferably before you read the book so you can come back and appreciate that even more.

The movies including and following Iron Man present the world as seen by the biggest heroes of the Marvel universe, but there is more going on behind the scenes. Agents of SHIELD is a good concept that is somewhat inconsistent in quality. Good episodes are great, while others are forgettable. But this show is just starting to find its legs, and it takes care to introduce the characters in a way to entice the fans, and is setting up for something bigger. A must for anyone who wants to see the continuing story of Agent Phil Coulson.

This movie is a good sequel to Justice League: War. The story is actually fairly compelling, and you won't feel like you have to make fun of Aquaman at the end of it. The movie does struggle to grow many of the characters from its predecessor, as the focus on Atlantis is heavy over that of the Justice League, but it is still worth watching.

Not sure what happened when Sony decided to reboot Spider-man, but it just hasn't felt like it has worked. Still, this film is a big improvement on the first. The pacing is far better and the story more interesting, and it does serve as a decent book-end to this series now that it is ending, even as it leaves some dangling threads. Expect a far more watchable film, but still wonder how Sony screwed up enough to feel that they needed to move on from Tobey Maguire.
