...and while it is smart, and by that I mean it has many features and one needs to read up on this dishwasher, it is not your mother's dishwasher, the design and operation of this unit can confuse some people. It's all in the operation's manual, read carefully and get a complete understanding or else you'll get in the weeds with this.

Great unit for older cars, like mine, it fits nicely on the dashboard after the Geek Squad did some work on the faceplate which enabled the unit to fit better. The look is nice, sound is better then my old unit (original). For the money it really is a bargain.

Does this dishwasher sanitize or not? The photo shows a sanitize control but specifications say it does not sanitize. Thanks.
I tried the sanitized button yesterday for the first time and it seemed to have that sanitized smell to it, clean, try it and see.

Why does it have a black rubber flap on the bottom???? I've never seen this on a dishwasher. It is ugly. I didn't realize this when I bought it online. ...I thought the black part was a regular hard toe kick!!!
What I was led to understand is that that kick plate is there to hide the undercarriage of the unit and also if you look closely you'll see a screw, dead center at the bottom of the unit, that screw lets you balance the rear of the unit while you balance the front with the two white wheels at either corner in front. First balance front and then the rear by turning that screw at the bottom. I would use a leveler to help you see if it is balanced. Good luck, good machine by the way.
