My upgrade to the 7D Mark ii

This camera was purchased as an upgrade from my Canon 60D, great camera by the way that I used for 4 years. Immediately out of the box the build quality alone was impressive. This camera feels great in your hand and when paired with my 16-35mm f2.8L and 24-70mm f2.8L the balance of lens to camera feels about right. I will say that when I installed the BG-E16 battery grip the balance for me was perfect.
From the first pictures I took with this camera the improvement to the auto focusing system is leaps and bounds better than what I was using with my 60D. That is to be expected because of difference in number and type of focus points alone but the camera simply is more snappy when it comes to focusing.
A small detail that I feel many reviews I’ve seen have failed to point out is in the viewfinder. In the 7D mk ii there is a scale that is located on the right side (when shooting horizontal) that indicates proper exposure when adjusting settings in manual modes. The 60D had a similar system located on the bottom but I really had trouble using it and adjusting settings while looking through the viewfinder. This also brings me to the placement of the buttons and the expanded ability to customize buttons, a feature that I didn’t plan on using at first. Long story short, with my 60D I took double the amount of test shots than I do with the 7D mk ii. In fact, at this point after using the camera for about a month I rarely even take test shots and I shoot almost exclusively in Manual mode.
This camera for sure has taken my photography to the next level simply because I am comfortable and confident in my gear. Don’t get me wrong I can still get great photos out on my 60D and it still works like a champ but the difference to me is evident in my finished work.
Very happy with the camera.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Need Canon EOS 60D body only

Can I get the body only for a Canon EOS 60D?
I'm not sure if best buy sells just the camera body any more, they did a few years ago. I know that B&H and Adorama sell the 60D body.

It's a great camera by the way I've had mine for about 4 years and it works like a champ.
