I don't even consider myself as big a fan of this franchise as others do but even I thought this latest entry was better than most are giving it credit for. The steelbook itself is very nice and the only thing that would help me give it a higher score is if it also included a 3D disc.
Still waiting for my five dollar reward certificate to show up for buying this 4K upgrade but nevertheless, it was worth it. A/V quality is strong for this 20-year old movie and the audio is stout.
Worth the upgrade to 4K, even if I had to Frankenstein my own special edition by keeping the bonus features disc from the initial blu release. Honestly it's pretty unacceptable that it wasn't included to begin with.
I had to go on something of a scavenger hunt to track this release down but thankful that I did. It's incredible that a 35-year-old movie could look this good in 4K.
It's easy to understand why the hobbit films haven't gotten as much love as the Lord of the rings films but they are still solid entertainment in their own right. Great sale price on this three day disk and still had a lenticular slipcover to you.
It's easy to understand why the hobbit films haven't gotten as much love as the Lord of the rings films, but they are still above average entertainment at the very least. Terrific sale price on this 3-D set complete with lenticular slipcover.
I missed this one in theaters and when I finally got around to watching it on Netflix, I thought it was actually really funny and poignant. For the sale price of $9.99, I didn't hesitate to add this Nancy Meyers them to my collection.
Truth be told, I don't even own a 4K TV or Blu-ray player yet but I decided to take advantage of the sale price and upgrade this awesome movie now I had of the release of the sequel next month.
