Excellent Device to help Cut the Wires

This Airfly Bluetooth transmitter is on point. First, a couple of corrections on discrepancies I have seen elsewhere; One, you do not have to use Apple headphones, any Bluetooth headphones will work, and Two, these will work on anything that has a headphone jack (I.e., gym equipment, older devices without Bluetooth, etc.). They are not limited to just airplanes. Now, this thing is really small with the typical Apple white coloring. It comes with a audio cable (male to male) to plug from the device to your output device. It has a USB to microUSB charging cable and all packaged up in a nice little grey drawstring bag. Setup is easy when following the enclosed instructions but I definitely keep the instructions in the bag with the device as it is not necessarily intuitive. Once everything is paired and the output devices is going (in my case, the treadmill at the gym) this thing just does as it says. Good clear sound without having to dig out my old wired headphones to get my miles in. I also tried them with an old portable CD player and it also sounded great. It was going to the donation center, but I might keep it after all! If you need a very small device that allows blutooth transmission for your headphones to work un-wired this is your thing. Great job by Twelve South, Highly Recommended!

Wow! Bring Out All My Old Albums

Wasn't too sure about this purchase as I haven't used a turntable (record player??) in quite a while. I have lots of old albums to include many classic and Japanese imports. I missed the old "full" sound of albums and what turntables could produce. So here comes the Sony turntable allowing me to rip those albums to digital formats that I can then play on digital players, computers, etc. Unboxing and setup was relatively easy except for the tonearm setup. Had to do a little "Youtubing" to get right, but then I was on my way. Software from Sony to rip the albums is pretty simplistic but gets the job done. Remember, whatever comes over the turntable and is captured is what you will hear on the capture; dust, skips, and other anomalies. Make sure that you clean your source albums well. Other than that, I was mildly impressed with this product. I can see me going to the local trade store to pick up some classic albums to capture that "turntable" sound that I love. If you have some albums you really want to bring into the present, this is the way to go. Recommended!

Good Little Desk Speaker

Pretty good sound for small spaces with good bass response. The lights quickly got on my nerves, but you can turn them off. Compared with other small bluetooth speakers these are good for a small room or desk, but not necessarily a party speaker for a large space. Love the construction and materials used. Recommended.

Expansive Storage, questionable longevity

The SanDisk Ultra 256gb Flash Drive is a huge storage medium that allows for transfer and back-up of a massive amount of files quickly with minimal issues. Transfer speeds are way up there and make transferring files quick. Software pre-loaded on the flash drive allow for encryption and security of the flash drive and it's contents were it to become lost. It also has software that allows for the uploading or "backup" of contents of the flash drive to be uploaded to a SanDisk cloud account. I have too many cloud accounts as it is. Anyway, I did not try this feature but definitely use the security software. If there is a downside to this flash drive is it's physical makeup. It feels somewhat flimsy with not too thick plastic as it's shell. As this is a retractable thumb drive, meaning you push the USB connector open and closed, the longevity of this seems to be in question. With prolonged use, I'm not sure how this housing will hold up. Only time will tell. This is still a great flash drive with lots of storage at a great price and is recommended!

A Great Home Office Printer

As a previous owner of many Hewlett-Packard printers, the most recent a HP Envy Photo printer, I am accustomed to the high quality output that HP printers provide. I had never really considered the OfficeJet Pro line of printers as they are normally behemoths that provide a lot of bells and whistles but take up a lot of space. So when this printer arrived I was pleasantly surprised at it’s size. It can easily be placed on a small table and everything (paper supply, output, etc.) comes through the front of the printer, thus making it easy set up in smaller spaces. The unboxing involved the standard removal of protective tape and reading the quick set-up sheet to get the ink cartridges and paper in place. I downloaded the new (yes, use the new one if you want access to Smart Tasks) apps for the printer to enable all it’s functions ran through the initial set-up screens. The LED screen is a little on the small side, but it met all the items I required of it. Wireless set-up, which is the only way to use this printer, was simple and found my network easily. It completed registration, walked my through the “Instant Ink” procedures (which took a little longer than usual since I had to transfer from my previous HP printer) and was ready to go. I started by running through a copy of copies in the scanner, to include double-sided items. It pulled everything through the document feeder and scanned both sides without a hiccup. The print from the copies is clean and well defined. Colors matched well to the originals which made it hard to determine which was the copy, a great feat from an ink jet. Using the new Smart Tasks app makes printing from cloud based services, cellphones and web enabled services was easy and worked well. The printer has the ability “heal” it’s Wi-Fi feed to keep the best connection to complete your tasks. I never saw an issue, so I will have to take their word on it. The printer also has it’s own e-mail address which gives additional capabilities to print from virtually anywhere. It’s rated at 22 pages per minutes, and seemed pretty fast, although I did not put it through a typical office-type print job yet. The smaller footprint and ability to print from almost everywhere and from almost any device makes this an excellent printer for a home or small business. It’s bigger brother only adds separate or larger paper trays, so unless you need that capability this is the one to get. Excellent printing, good color and sharp text makes this a great buy. Great Product in a Sea of Voice Assistants

The Google Home Hub is one serious piece of equipment in the world of digital assistants. Leveraging Google Assistance and placing into a device that allows for visual consumption of media and social media is outstanding. The product is solid, well-built and very easy to set up. Once logged into my Google account through the Hub it found all my contacts, places and usually accessed material. I set it up to give me a morning brief that includes weather, current news and traffic for my location by simply saying “Good Morning”. So if you are already using Google and Google Assistant for many of your daily endeavors, this device will be simple to use and set up. If not, it will take a little more time to get everything in place (Google account, etc.) but it is worth it. Finding home automation products like Wemo switches and Hue bulbs was quick and painless. And, unlike other big name voice assistants, Google Home Hub has access to YouTube videos and Podcasts! While the screen is not 4K worthy, it more than does the job of displaying videos and information. Likewise, the speaker in this Hub isn’t my home stereo surround system, but it is more than adequate for listening to podcasts, background music and videos. It easily fills a room with sound, albeit not creating your own personal disco… I thought not having a built in camera might be a limiting factor but I found it not to be an issue (not too keen on having an “Always On camera) staring at me.. If you are starting out in the world of voice assistants or need an alternative to Alexa this is the product to have! Good Shopping!

Just plug into the PS4 USB on the front, ensure the storage is seen by the PS4 and have fun downloading all your free games from PS Plus! Good load speed and ease of use make this a no-brainer. About the size of a small wallet or cigarette pack, it packs in the 2TB drive and just does it's job. I even used it to move many games and apps from my PS4's memory to free it up. An excellent buy!

For a baby monitor this product does an excellent job. Being able to move around with the screen makes this a no brainer purchase. Not a lot different than other "security cameras" on the market. But the portable screen makes all the difference. Having motion, sound and temp sensors are also great additions. The two way comm and user replaceable batteries are what set it over most others. Highly recommended system!

The New Noise Cancelling Champ?

Being a constant user of noise cancelling headphones I consider myself to be somewhat of an expert. I have been wanting to try the newest version of the Sony 1000 series since their release to see how they compared to my go-to favorite which everyone says is the standard. I received them in the standard white Sony box and opened them to see a very nice, rigid carrying case and a quick start guide. Oepning the case revealed the black, sturdy looking headphones, an audio cable and an airline adapter. The headphones have some weight to them but nothing overly heavy. The lettering on the headphones is a distinctive copper color that adds to their appeal. Lots of cushioning at the ears and top of the headphone band looks to give lots of comfort. Although they are plastic, they seem to be well built and sturdy. I got the set paired up and ready to use (and downloaded the Sony App to help customize the headphones) and got some music ready to go I a rather noisy office. Once I turned them on, the world seemed to go away… Once the music began to play, I was all by myself with the music. I could not hear any outside noise or sounds. To test the ability to hear ambient sound (which is accomplished by placing your hand over the right earcup) I had office mates talk while listening to some loud music. It worked exceeding well during my tests and I really like this capability. The touch controls worked well and responded quickly. The headphones are very comfortable and when I wore them for an extended period (4 hours) I was not fatigued as with other headphones. Using them on a long flight should be just fine. The battery will definitely keep up as I got more than 20 hours on mine. So, are these the new top of the line noise cancelling headphones? If not, they are at least equal to the best. These are highly recommended and if you are looking for great headphones, you can stop your search here!

Very Good Backyard Speaker

The LG PK 7 is a really good speaker with clear sound and easy operation. The speaker is pretty sturdy with some heft to it. You have to keep that into consideration when lugging it around or where you decide to place it. The handles built in protect from any bangs, except around the passive radiators on the sides, which kind of concerns me over longevity. Only time will tell I guess. The speaker is water resistant (didn't test) with a cover on the rear where the power connection, audio input and reset button is. The speaker has two mid drivers along with two tweeters on the front, along with the LED party lights. Not too sure about the lights, so I turned them off. It has a bass boost as well as a clear voice mode, that are tuned by Meridian. The PK7 also has an Android App that can be used to operate different functions on the speaker. Overall this is a really good speaker that can easily fill a room or yard with sound. There are many Bluetooth speakers in this price range, but this should be at the top of your list! Good shopping!
