Excellent Office Printing Solution

After looking for a replacement for another brand of printer that went out on me, I got this HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e printer as the stand in. Initially, I thought it was too small for office use based on the size of the box. Unboxing the HP 9120e still gave me doubt, as it has a small overall footprint. Initial setup was straightforward, but I did have some issues getting it to work with my Apple products. But once that was alleviated it was on to work and printing. It works on a four ink-well system, with a separate black ink well. That's good for me as we use that more than any other and I can replace that separately without buying a whole brand new cartridge. The paper well holds roughly a ream of paper at a time. It has the normal paper handling pull-outs most printers have. Auto-loading works well, as well as the scanning process (whether auto-loaded or placing it on the scanner platen itself). The printer has a USB Type A port on the side that enables easy document printing when switching between devices without having to have the device itself. The quality of the printing itself meets or exceeds the requirements for my office. We no longer possess laser printers due to the quality of printers such as this one. The abilities and speed of output make this a quality printer and great addition to the office. Longevity is to be seen, but so far we are really impressed with the HP printer.

Great for Hearing Aids AND In-Ear Headphones!

I had never considered an item like this, always thinking that cleaning the outside and the wax guard was good enough. And if I managed to accidentally get my headphones soaked, well, time for the bowl of rice! But now, I have been educated by my Audiologist that this is a really poor idea, especially with expensive in-ears or VERY expensive hearing aids. I had some Over-the-Counter hearing devices, as well as several pairs of in-ears. My Audiologist told me that any device that is inside your ear canal for any length of time will generate moisture that the device will gather. To remove it, there are several commercial ways to accomplish it, but a true removal device was extremely expensive and usually only in an Audiologist's office. Now, Redux has developed a "Home" version of it's hearing air dryer. Their top of the line takes a long time and presents a lot more information for the Audiologist (such as amount of moisture, etc.) The Home version is as simple as two lights and a start button... But I assure you that it absolutely does the job! The top screws on and off and has two vents in the interior to place the headphone or hearing aid "ends" so to assist in the drying. A USB-C connection is on the rear with a charger included. That's it, nothing else to look at or keep up with. It makes a huge difference in sound with my "older" in-ears! After cleaning them and using the Redux, the sound is clearer and not muffled at all! Now that I have regular hearing aids, I plan on using this as recommended. The device uses differing levels of air and vacuum to remove the moisture and not any type of heat (that could possibly damage your hearing aids. I now use this on all my devices that are in-ear type devices. I didn't really think there could be that much difference but I can tell you that it absolutely does. If you have devices of this type it will make a huge difference. Just ask your Audiologist to make sure your devices are compatible.

A Good Addition to a Great Budget Tablet

If an Amazon Fire Max 11 is in your sight for a good overall tablet without breaking the bank, or you already have one, this keyboard case is a great addition to help you become much more than just a media consumption device. The keyboard and case are pretty light and do not add much extra heft to the tablet. It is a dark grey with a "fabric" feel to it. The rear of the case magnetically attaches to the rear of the tablet, but does not cover the edges at all. It has a kickstand built into the rear, is adjustable and has good tension to keep it in place. The keyboard magnetically attaches to the bottom of the tablet where the sensors are. Those and two nubs hold the keyboard to the tablet. The attachment is pretty strong and keeps the keyboard from dislodging from the tablet. The keyboard itself has a pretty good feel to it (obviously not top end, but we are talking about a budget system here). The trackpad is on the small side but is surprisingly functional. The keyboard has most needed keys and a top row of shortcuts to enable different actions on the tablet without much fuss. Typing was responsive and key travel, though not great, was capable. If you have or are thinking of purchasing the Amazon Fire Max 11 Tablet and want to give it much more capability than just a basic tablet this keyboard case will do the trick! Just don't expect it to equal tablets in the thousand dollar range...

A great addition for the Fire HD 11

Amazon's new Fire HD 11 is a solid, but budget, tablet. For the money it is an excellent purchase with great capabilities. To add to that, Amazon has released a Stylus Pen to give it an additional capability that really can help make this a really interesting buy for those who just can't spend a large amount of money for a capable tablet. The stylus is about the size and thickness as a competitor's pencil. Being about three and a half inches long, and pretty thick, it has a really good feel to it. It is dark grey to match the tablet and a somewhat slick feel to it. The nub (where it touches the tablet) is hard plastic that gives a great feeling that you are actually writing on paper. Response time with the screen of the tablet is very good. It has a button near the end of the stylus that can be assigned different actions with the tablet. The most used so far is using it to select words or rows of words. The stylus also magnetically attaches to the side (if the keyboard isn't attached) and the top. The biggest difference than other stylus pens out there, the Amazon stylus pen is powered by a AAA battery. Attaching it to the tablet provides no charge or power. Is it going to equal the feel of fruity competitors pens, obviously not; is it capable and adds functionality to a great overall (not wallet busting) tablet, absolutely! If you have or want to buy the Amazon Fire HD 11, the Stylus Pen is a very good and capable addition.

Nearly the Best Budget Laptop

Let's start this review as it needs to: If you are looking for cutting edge processors, displays or performance, please move along! Find you a pricey fruity or S-company tablet and wear that wallet out. On the opposite, if you are looking for a good, sturdy, good looking and functional tablet that you aren't going to have to skip groceries for a month! The build quality (aluminum) is up from the standard Fire HD line. The display, while not industry leading, is more than acceptable and looks really good in either dark or bright rooms. Plenty of RAM to get the most jobs done, and 128Gb of storage seems low, but it has a micro SD card slot that allows the storage to be increased up to 1Tb. A good battery that for me lasted pretty much 7 plus hours with movies and internet surfing makes it an all day device. The cameras are "Meh" but will work in a pinch but who uses a tablet for pictures (except for the front for Zoom meetings or others). That camera is not great but is functional. The elephant in the room is the walled garden that is Amazon, with no Google Play but Amazon's App Store, which is REALLY limited. There are ways around that, but that's a different story. Amazon's App Store has lots of the basics but not much past that. To me, that is the only thing that holds this back from being THE perfect budget tablet. If you need a good, functional tablet that won't break the bank, this is worth the look. Don't forget the available accessories for the tablet that can up its productivity capability!

Cool Your Room Quick!

In this year of ridiculously hot temperatures, air conditioning systems can only do so much. Having something that can push air around can help distribute cool air and help keep a room more comfortable. This Holmes Breeze Blaster table fan is just the ticket to get that accomplished. With 6 angled and finned blades, with fan can put out a tremendous amount of air with little extra noise. Black in color, the housing is a strong plastic. The base doesn't take up too much room but helps with the stability of the fan. It has the typical knob on top of the housing to put the fan in to oscillation mode or to keep it in one position. The head can be tilted up or down in about 30 degree angles. This allows placement on higher furniture so it can be angled down (or up, if trying to push higher, hotter air around). It has three speeds with the sound going up relative to the speed. At its lowest speed, it's almost silent! It has outstanding output with a good breeze even at its lowest setting. If you need some additional airflow during this super hot season, this is an excellent device to help with that. The Holmes Breeze Blaster is the way to go!

Absolutely Blown Away Display!

The Asus Creator 15.6 inch OLED laptop is the one laptop that is going to finally make me get rid of the desktop I've had forever. I didn't think there would be a laptop that could push me away from it, but with desktop-like performance and that beautiful OLED display, the desktop is a goner. This is high end performance at its best! Not too heavy for a 15.6 inch laptop and easily transportable, this thing will go everywhere with me. With 16gb of RAM and 1Tb of storage (through an ultrafast SSD, not hard drive) this machine will keep everything I need without having to wait. The Intel i9 series processor easily runs through all apps I normally depend on my desktop for with ease. Now the display... Holy Cow! 15.6 inches of 2.8k OLED goodness being pushed by a NVIDIA RTX 3050 graphics card with 6gb of dedicated RAM! It is just so awesome to work on. If you need a touchscreen however, you're in the wrong place. 120hz display keeps everything smooth with no eyestrain whatsoever. The keyboard is super responsive as well as the trackpad with both having an excellent feel. One Thunderbolt port, one USB-C port, HDMI port, two USB 3.2 type A, ethernet and a SD card slot round out the ports with all the capabilities you would need without having to lug around a port replicator! It has a Touch ID built into the power button and Face ID with its camera using Windows 11. Speaking of Windows 11, it is built in and runs this thing perfectly. The sound to me is okay, but fine for a laptop. Battery life for me ran around 9 or so hours with lots of word processing and movies running in the background. It does have a good 2 megapixel camera capable of 720p, which is fine for MS Teams, but not too good if you are trying to stream HQ video. It comes with several ASUS branded software titles which were helpful, but thankfully not full of bloatware as some computers do. Need a speedy, almost (if not fully) gaming capable, work perfect and absolutely stunning display in a laptop, here you go! Did I mention it's military spec'd too (meaning rugged for those times it gets bounced around)? This will truly replace my desktop and hopefully yours as well!

Outstanding Business/Mouse Combo

After looking for an add-on keyboard for both my Mac mini and laptop, I went through lots of good and real bad keyboards as well as combination packages. The Logitech MX Keys Combo was one I had looked at only briefly because I only (thought) I needed a keyboard. Once I got it home and began using both keyboard and mouse, I was hooked on both! It uses one dongle (USB 3.1) for both keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is a very sturdy, full-sized mechanical keyboard with stiff keys and good return. It has a numeric keyboard also which is greatly appreciated. It has automatic backlighting that does an excellent job of lighting the keys and is charged through USB-C. The box says it will last for 10 days on a full charge but I've beaten that already. As for the mouse I didn't think I needed.. Well, this thing is great! Perfectly weighted, well built with perfect palm and finger placement. It is very sturdy and has excellent tracking capability on pretty much any surface. The scroll wheel and click seem smooth and relatively quiet. It also charges via USB-C, and has lasted for a while between charges. Both keyboard and mouse have Logitech software that allows for lots of customizations, and best of all (for me) is the ability to be connected to up to three devices through Bluetooth or the dongle. As I switch between machines quite often, this is a game changer! If you need a combo that has both a professional feeling keyboard and outstanding mouse, this is the one you need!

Great Tower Fan You Can Connect With!

Just in time for summer comes a tower fan from Holmes that can be connected to your wifi and control with your phone or laptop using the Holmes app! It comes in a really sturdy packing box with everything you need to set up. A user guide gets you started, snapping together a few pieces and tightening a few screws is all it takes to set up. It comes with a little remote that has all the same controls as are on the fan. Once I got everything put together I went and downloaded the Holmes app. It's pretty straight-forward in getting the fan connected as long as you know all your router's info and passwords. Once the app locates and links with the fan, you are in business! You can control the fan while at home or remotely. Anything you can do with the remote, you can do with the app. You can also schedule the fan to come on and/or stay on for different times and lengths. Now, the fan itself is a tower-type fan with not a lot if weight and easy to move around. It has a plastic base that keeps everything solid. It's around three feet tall and doesn't need a lot of clearance. The controls are all on top and are easily used. The display is blue in color on a black background and can be dimmed or brightened. It shows all the active status of the fan. Power, speed, mode (normal, breeze, sleep and power breeze) timer and oscillating/wifi button are the controls on top. The fan puts out a solid amount of air at normal, and speeds of 3 or 4 are pretty high for a normal sized room. Higher speeds and power breeze really push out a lot of air, possibly too much! The breeze setting is almost guaranteed to lull you to sleep. The sleep setting is supposed to reduce the noise level but I really didn't hear much difference. If you are looking for a good tower fan that you can now control remotely, you can't go wrong with the Holmes Digital Tower Fan. It is really worth every cent!

Interesting but expensive

In reviewing the Bowers and Wilkins Pi7 S2 wireless in-ear headphones, I found a wide gap of different issues with these earphones. On one hand, these are probably the best in-ear headphones I have ever heard, with mind-numbing clarity and response. On the other, they are hideously expensive with some kind of glaring issues. They come packaged in a pretty solid box with earbuds, a pretty substantial sized case, Quick Start and Safety Guides and two additional sized eartips. Also included are a charging cable and "Audio Retransmission" cable (more on that in a minute). The B&W app is easily downloaded from your favorite app store, compatable with whatever device you have. The app allows for updating, adding devices and basic control of the earphones. Unfortunately, the touch controls on the earphones are not changeable. The most glaring omission for the touch controls are no volume control and having to go to the app to enable the noise/ambient sound control, which is borderline crazy. Noise cancellation is decent to good at it's best, but not in the league of other market leaders. The case itself, which is rather significant in size, has charging indicators, a Bluetooth pairing button and wireless charging capability. Despite these rather glaring issues, the B&Ws, with their dual drivers, are some of the best in-ear headphones I have ever heard. Clear highs and decisive lows are impressive, especially with aptX Adaptive for their Bluetooth connection. The case also doubles as a audio retransmission device that allows external devices to be plugged into the case via audio to USB-C cable provided, and be transmitted via the case to the headphones (like airplane jacks or non-Bluetooth devices). This addition is excellent and enables many more sources to be used with the B&W Pi7 S2s. Despite their known issues (which I hope B&W irons out), and stomach churning price, these are some of the best in-ear Bluetooth aptX enabled headphones that I have ever reviewed. If oustanding sound is your main goal, you have found your product!
