So glad to see Criterion remaster this movie. The picture and sound are fantastic.... you'd never know this movie was over 30 years old. If you loved it originally you won't be disappointed, if you are younger and are not familiar with this movie, it's a great time piece depicting the baby boomers a few years out of college dealing with growing up and their conceptions and misconceptions of the world they live in. Great acting here. Highly recommended!

The original in all it's glory. Eddie's remake was nice, but the original rocks..... and it's now remastered with a beautiful picture and sound quality that rivals a current production. When Jerry makes the transformation and becomes the hip cool dude, it totally rocks with that 50's hip vibe. Highly recommended!

Very dark humor!

William Friedkin ....... the man's an icon as far as I am concerned in the world of movie directing. His list of great films include The French Connection, The Exorcist, and To Live and Die in L.A.. The man proved he wasn't afraid to still take chances with Bug in 2006, now he's back with Killer Joe.
This is a bizarre movie. Extremely dark humor. Matthew McConaughey and Gina Gershon were great in this, as was Thomas Haden Church. At times it hints at the Coen Brothers and Tarantino, but still retains it's originality. If being shocked by the absence of taboos bothers you, don't see this film. It's a redneck explosion ........ did someone spike the PBR with LSD? I'm curious to know, do you prefer regular recipe or extra crispy! "grins"

I think you either like Brian De Palma or you don't..... I do. This is a decent example of his craft. Rachel McAdams stars in a role very different from the usual characters she plays ......... this one is conniving, devious, and nasty. Noomi Rapace is her assistant at the ad agency they work for. Not going to say much more to tip off the plot. I enjoyed this one.... might not be everyone's cup of tea though.

relive Peter Gabriel's 80's glory

Peter Gabriel re-assembled his exact band from the 80's that toured for his mega hit CD "So". These musicians play as well, if not better, today than they did 30 years ago............ just like fine wine. If you are a fan of his this is a no brainer. Fantastic picture and sound, the "So" album played straight through in it's entirty, as well as Peter's other big hits. Highly recommended!
