Unfortunately the new Xbox One Slim models don't have a USB 3.0 B-Type connector port for a Kinect version 2. (That's the Kinect for an Xbox One). So it requires this powered adapter. Works fine. But at $40.00 bucks, it is way over priced. Be sure to mount the adapter power supply so that the weight of it doesn't pull the cable out of the back of the Slim. BTW, the original Kinects sold with the Xbox 360's won't work on a slim .
See important note below - if you already own an older Xbox One with a Kinect (and registered it with MS, or will register it):

Previous Xbox was a 500GB which ran out of storage space even though I had an external 1TB drive connected. The 2TB HD in this Gears edition, plus the ability to play 4K bluray dics was a good enough reason to upgrade. The 4k discs play great (even though the discs are pricey). You'll need to do a lot of tweeking on the Xbox and 4K Tv settings to get everything to look its best. Cons: 1. No headset included. 2. A $40 adapter to use a Kinect2 on a Slim is over priced. 3. It takes a long time to copy the old games and apps from the old Xbone to an external drive, then copy everything back to the new Slim. Note: An old Xbone formatted external HD will be recognized by the new Slim (Don't believe rumors saying it can't be read). 4. Don't put the Slim in power saving mode if you have an external HD connected. The drive will "go away" and not be seen sometimes unless the Slim is restarted. Disable the Power Save mode (which is also know as Instant Startup). Pros: Great picture, 4K movies are clear and bright, plenty of space for games (at least for a short time), HDMI cable included, and Gears.

Actually, as the Bluray back cover says: "Massively Entertaining", it is. Great movie. Spectacular CGI effects. Great sound. Watched this movie (Bluray 1080p version) via an Xbox Slim connected to a 4K TV. Picture quality was very, very good. Need to watch this movie over again just to absorb the special effects. 144 minutes long, rated PG-13. Included with the Bluray are Special Features, deleted scenes, and Olivia Munn is in the movie too......

Used this 2TB as a replacement for an old 250GB drive in my Windows 7 PC. Cloned over the old onto the new one. Did not use the included s/w with the drive. Interesting thing though is the RPM of the drive is not specified on the box. Had to look it up online before purchasing this drive. It's 7200 RPM. My primary use of this drive is data storage.

Previously I had a one TB external drive connected to my Xbox One, and it was already half full. Plugged in the 2TB, formatted it, and then moved all the games from the 1TB over to the 2TB. It takes awhile, but there were no problems. No noticeable problems in game loading times. All is well.

Is Seagate 5TB external hard drive compatable with Windows XP OS?
Does the Seagate Backup Plus 5TB desktop external hard drive work with the Windows XP USB 2.0 service pack 2 operating system?
I would say "Kinda Maybe" for the following reasons - #1. The drive comes with a USB 3.0 cable & an external power adapter, so you don't have to worry about pulling power from your USB ports. #2. The Specs posted on the Seagate site say Win 7 and higher: (Mac OS X 10.7 or higher or Windows 8, Windows 7 operating system). But there is no reason why it shouldn't work (On XP with USB 2.0).
The drive is supposed to be USB 2.0 compatible, but if you used it on a 2.0 connection, you'll be feeling the pain real quick in USB's 2.0 terribly slow transfer rates. Don't even invest in this unless you have USB 3.0.
As for XP SP2, it would be a "Maybe Not". Try downloading a copy of SP3 and install that first.
I wouldn't put up with the pain of XP and USB 2.0.

Yes. the hp g7-1338dx uses a SATA drive, the 1TB is SATA. The hp g7-1338dx came with a max size of 750 gig, so if you can clone the drive directly over, you can use any spare drive space on the new drive to make another partition.
