Versatile and Functional Electric Shaver/Trimmer

I have been using electric shavers for about 25 years and have always been a fan of Philips Norelco products. I've never liked to use traditional razors because shaving takes longer, I always seemed to get nicks, and I was never a fan of the clean-up process (including drain clogs). This product impressed me with its features and shave quality.
Pros:
- Their latest models, including this one, has shifted to USB charging. I love this because I don't have to search for the correct power cord to charge with as virtually everyone has readily available USB charging plugs these days.
- It can be used both as a dry shaver or in the shower. Being waterproof also makes it easier to clean.
- The trimmer, used to neaten beards or trim sideburns, works well.
- It's nice and light, has a comfortable grip, and can run for up to 40 minutes on a charge.
- The shave feels very good with this product. It does a great job, with its flexible heads, of giving a fairly close shave in an efficient amount of time.

This shaver is priced affordably and functions exactly as I need it to. I think it's a great option for anyone, like me, that does not like traditional shaving.

Versatile Doorbell You Can Place Anywhere

I've used a Ring doorbell for several years now. This is my second, but it is my first that runs on battery power. This new model has improved in some ways, but also has some limitations compared to its wired counterparts.
Pros:
- Set up was extremely easy. All I had to do was charge up the battery (this took 3-4 hours), then install the battery, pull up the app, and follow the step by step directions to add a new device. A QR code in the included paperwork needs to be scanned and then you are up and running before you know it. The mounting portion of the install will take longer than connecting the device to your home WiFi.
- The field of view is very impressive on the camera. It feels like you can almost see a full 180 degree range. This helps you be able to see a much larger area of your porch/yard/driveway/etc.
- The battery is simple to remove for charging and just as easy to re-install.
- You can extend battery life by tweaking the settings easily in the app.

Another Great Product from Linksys

I have used multiple Linksys routers over the years, as they are one of the most well known and reputable companies in the space. This product met my expectations and it provides a terrific home WiFi set-up.
Pros:
- First, this device had the easiest and most pain-free set-up process I have ever had with a WiFi router. All I had to do was unplug my old router, plug in this new one, reboot my modem, then scan a QR code in the quick start guide. Then I was able to change the name and password for my WiFi directly from my phone. I didn't have to install an app or anything. This was great!
- This device can handle up to 3 Gbps over WiFi. My ISP only provides 300 Mbps and it certainly handled those speeds with no issue. Thanks to the dual-band Mesh technology, I did not experience any latency issues while gaming, and our family of 4 had no issues streaming in HD on multiple devices at the same time.
- The extra nodes that are included help ensure that you have coverage over a wider area. The two nodes that were included with my router were more than enough to cover my 2300sq ft home and also some coverage outdoors as well.
- The extra nodes are nice and small, a bit smaller than a soda can, and can hide well in plain sight.

Sleek Design and Good Features

I have owned many monitors over the past few decades, some of which were made my HP, and this one is certainly one of the best HP monitors I have owned. It's not high-end, but has good features that make it a good purchase for the price.
Pros:
- This monitor is engineered to be easily assembled. While the directions were not 100% clear, anyone can figure out how to assemble the base quite easily as it has 3 pre-seated screws that only need to be tightened and you are done.
- This monitor, so far, has mostly been used as a screen extension for a work laptop. Having the extra 27" of real estate in order to multi-task more easily has been a life saver. I have also used it with a gaming laptop and was very pleased with the quality of gameplay. The 100Hz refresh rate was more than enough for smooth and impressive visuals.
- Other features that I really liked with this monitor include the wonderful base design that allows you to raise and lower the monitor very easily, the 2nd HDMI port, and the almost non-existent bezel giving it a beautiful look. The screen can also tilt.

This is a terrific monitor for anyone looking for strong performance at a solid price. You can get better features than this, but it will cost you a lot more. It's not the best screen for high-end gaming, but is perfect for casual gaming or personal/work use.

High End Gaming at a Reasonable Price Point

Gigabyte, out of Taiwan, might not be the most well known computer manufacturer, but it has been gaining attention as of late for its ability to provide high quality components in its PCs at a reasonable price for consumers. This particular gaming laptop is a terrific example of that. I was pretty impressed with this model.
Pros:
- At a mid-range price point for a gaming laptop, you get a high end graphics card (GeForce RTX 4060), a solid state drive, a high-end i7 processor, a whopping 32GB of system memory, and a beautiful 16" HD display with a good refresh rate (165 Hz).
- Initial set-up was smooth and painless. I love how fast Windows can update when you are using a solid state drive vs a traditional hard drive. Gigabyte has a unique default wallpaper and UI for its OS and driver updates (see photos) that I thought was a nice change of pace.
- This laptop was able to run any and all games in my Steam/Origin libraries without issue. I was even able to crank up the settings to optimize frame rates on the most demanding games that I own.
- The trackpad is large and works well. It has a good feel and is responsive. I also appreciate the plentiful amount of USB ports (4 total, 2 are USB-C)

Excellent Upgrade Option for PCs!

My current desktop PC only had 1 TB of storage so I was desperate for more space and faster read/write speeds. This 2 TB solid state drive from Crucial was just what the doctor ordered.
Before purchasing, you will want to ensure that your motherboard has an M.2 slot available. And if you already have one solid state drive installed, you will need to check if your motherboard has a second M.2 slot. If you don't have an open/usable slot, there are adapters that can be considered but you will not get the full performance benefits that solid state drives offer. You would likely be better off upgrading your motherboard in a case like that. Installation for me, however, was very smooth and simple as I had an M.2 slot ready and waiting for me.
The difference between using a standard hard drive compared to a solid state drive like this one from Crucial is night and day. Particularly for gaming, I observed a huge difference in load times. Whether you are launching a game, or loading maps / new levels, everything happens significantly more quickly. I can say that I will likely never use a hard drive again, as SSDs are now cost-effective and superior in basically every way. I feel like I'm getting 5-10 minutes back in my day with how much faster everything loads. That time adds up over a year!
If you are looking to expand your computer's storage space AND improve its performance, the T500 from Crucial is a great SSD to consider.

Incredible Sound and Beautiful Retro Style

I have owned many speakers made by various manufacturers over the years, and this one ranks among the best when it comes to audio quality and aesthetic appeal.
Pros:
- First, this speaker has basically everything that you would want in a modern audio product: Great sound, a beautiful design, Smart features, and flexible functionality.
- Music and podcasts both sound great. The bass really thumps through a downward firing woofer.
- The knobs to adjust volume, treble, and bass feel very elegant and high-end as you rotate them. The face of the speaker has terrific texture and look, giving it the old-school feel that a person in their late 40's like me can appreciate.
- This speaker is compatible with both Google Assistant and Alexa, giving you the choice of smart assistant that you prefer. Most speakers are only one or the other.
- A USB-C port is included in the rear, allowing you to charge phones/tablets. This is a welcome feature that many speakers lack. Additional features include an Ethernet port, an AUX port, and a switch to turn the onboard mic off if you don't plan to use the assistant (or like the privacy).
- This speaker is not powered by a lithium-ion battery and needs to be plugged into an outlet. This can be a good thing as it extends the life of the product as batteries can fail over the years. Keep this in mind as it does limit portability. This is designed to be a home speaker.

Solid Performance at a Great Price

Some people like to build their own gaming PCs. But if you are like me, you like others to do the work for you and simplify the process. The HP Omen 25L gaming desktop does a great job of that.
Pros:
- Set up was a breeze. There was ZERO bloatware on this machine! I was able to sign in with my Microsoft account and get all the latest driver and Windows updates settled within less than 20 minutes. I believe the solid state drive played a significant role in abbreviating the update/restart/repeat process. The boot up speed for this machine is incredibly fast.
- Speaking of the solid state drive, I don't think I'll ever be able to use an old-school hard drive again. Apps and games load incredibly quickly and the machine runs very quietly without the moving parts of a hard drive.
- The 7600 series graphics card from AMD along with 16GB of RAM allowed me to play any and all games in my Steam and Origin libraries. While there are better graphics cards on the market, you would be paying a much higher price. And I was able to get by just fine with this one.
- If I choose to upgrade my graphics card (or any other components) in the future, the case design allows for simple removal of the glass side panel. All you have to do is push a release button on the back and the panel slides right off (see pictures).
- The LEDs lighting up the fan and RAM were a nice touch and give this rig that "cool" factor that many gamers appreciate.

Great for Peace of Mind...and Camping!

I've had back-up battery packs in the past, enough to charge my phone a few times, but I've never had something like this that could really come in handy in an emergency. I've always wanted the peace of mind to keep devices charged and the home lit in case of an extended power outage, and this generator does the trick.
While you won't be running many heavy duty appliances with it like HVAC systems, what it will do for you is keep your emergency devices powered up (phones, tablets, etc), run most smaller appliances, and give you multiple methods to keep the generator itself charged up. It can be charged by your standard electrical outlet, the auxiliary power outlet in your car (cable included), or by using a USBC charging cable (not included) that you may already have in your home for other devices. There is a 4th way to charge this generator if you own a solar panel and also the necessary adapter/connector to plug in to the DC port. I have a solar panel but need to shop for the right adapter.
Things I liked:
- The LED light helps you see what you are doing in the event of an emergency (which is probably why you have this device to begin with). It is also very handy for lighting up a small area like a tent when camping.
- The display provides you with some very useful information including estimated time to recharge, how many watts are being used at a given time, and estimated remaining power % based on current power usage. For instance, when I have the battery near full charge and turn the LED light on, it tells me I have about 59 hours of power left.
- The power saving mode is a welcome feature to keep you from overcharging or wasting power with devices that are left plugged in. The charging is automatically stopped when devices reach capacity.
- The 5 year warranty is pretty impressive.
- Back-up power without needing to fire up a gas generator? Sign me up!

Gets the job done, but was challenging to set up

I've used a set of Arlo security cameras in the past and was very happy with them. I expected a similar experience with this new model but that was not the case.
Pros:
- While it was difficult to set up, being able to connect directly to your home's WiFi is a nice feature. Having extra hubs connected to your router can take up space and ruin aesthetics.
- Video quality was excellent both live and during playback.
- The alarm feature is something I plan to use. I like how when you get a notification that motion has been detected, you have an immediate option to sound the alarm. I can't wait to test this out on unwanted solicitors that show up at my door. The volume is loud, but not to the point where you would get hearing damage.
- While it was difficult to set up, being able to connect directly to your home's WiFi is a nice feature. Having extra hubs connected to your router can take up space and ruin aesthetics.

I gave up in frustration after many tries and then waited until the next day to try again. Luckily, things went more smoothly the next day and I was finally able to get the camera working and update the firmware. This model is probably not the best option for folks with low technical skill or low patience to adjust settings in their router. The steps are not terribly difficult, however, if you have some technical skill.
- I am not a fan of the Arlo Secure app. It just wasn't user-friendly and didn't seem modern, as if it was designed 10 years ago.
- I could not get the microphone to work without an echo. Hopefully a firmware update can fix this in the future.

Yes, I would say so! I have been using it with my Xbox One X for about a week now and it has been great for the games I play. What I've liked most is I can now read better for some games that have tiny text that was tough to see on smaller TVs.

Battery depletion depends on many things including your weight, what performance-mode you are in (sport uses the most juice), the terrain you are riding on, etc. But a max of 28 miles as advertised is possible, depending on those variables.

Is there no mute option? I didn't notice one on the mixamp and it doesn't specify (that I have found) that states the cable connecting the headset to the mixamp includes a mute function (in-line mute cable).

I didn't have any of these issues with mine, so it seems that the issue has been resolved. It may have just been a bad batch during their first production run.

It's for charging devices only. There are 2 options for playing music: bluetooth or the AUX port.

It has a docking station for charging. The vacuum is smart enough to know when it's battery is running low and returns to the docking station to charge on it's own. It does not need to be a special outlet. The power cord is long enough for you to use pretty much any electric outlet you may have. And yes, there is an app to use with the vacuum where you can program how you want it to run.
