Opened the package and plugged into my desktop with the included USB 3 cable into a USB 3 port on my USB 3 hub. The drive powers off the port and I was able to start transferring files to it. I can't think of how they could make it any simpler. My transfer speeds were around 50MB/s which was good enough for my task.

I was looking for a simpler wireless solution to present content on the portable projector. I can now cast my Fitness Blender workout videos from the iPhone to the projector and no longer need to setup a computer with an HDMI cable or purchase a more expensive Apple TV. I can also watch movies via Netflix, HBO, etc. on the projector and only need the iPhone to get the streaming started and then I can turn off my phone or leave the room, as opposed to Apple TV mirroring where the iPhone would be used for the duration of the movie.

I have some USB 3 devices that I need to use on both my Mac and PC. I have two USB 3 cables next to the hub that connect to my Mac and the other to my PC. I plug on system at a time into the hub to share my USB 3 devices:

Got this to perform an SSD upgrade of a laptop

We were upgrading the SATA drive in a laptop to a fast SSD. To make this an easy process and have an external drive for backups, we opted to buy this while getting our SSD drive from Best Buy. The upgrade went smoothly. The SSD drive went in this enclosure first and then we ran the software to clone the internal SATA drive with the SSD in this enclosure. Afterwards we swapped the SATA drive and SSD and now we have a fast booting laptop and an external USB drive using the older SATA.

We were looking to upgrade the Samsung RC512 i7 laptop from the standard 6GB to 16GB. Samsung and all the online memory sites stated the max memory for the system was 8GB. I could not find any technical reason why any generation i7 could not address 16GB or DDR3 with a 64bit Windows 10 running on the laptop. I can only figure that at the time the laptop was sold, 8GB modules were not readily available and no one went back to update the specs. We upgraded the RAM while in the parking lot of Best Buy and saw the system successfully POST and boot into Windows 10 recognizing all 16GB. Back home we ran a full memory test and have not seen any problems for weeks now. This was an excellent upgrade to get more life out of a still useful quad core i7 laptop. Best Buy made this upgrade purchase easier, since we could test out if it would work and had the option to return it right then.

Great upgrade for my son's Samsung RC512 laptop

The boot up time on the Samsung RC512 laptop was taking a couple minutes with all the things running on it. We streamlined it somewhat, but for under $200 we added this SSD drive and bumped the RAM from 6GB to 16GB to make a huge difference in performance with that i7 laptop. Boot times are under 20s now.

I was looking for a good mechanical keyboard to help with my typing accuracy. The gaming keyboards are one of the few options available. I originally picked the Razor, but returned it after noticing how much the different font and having the symbols below the numbers threw me off. The Corsair is much better with a standard font and key labeling. The ability to light up the keys is nice and configurable. The main thing I noticed that the Razor did not do is handle a Keyboard/Video/Mouse (KVM) switch that I use at my desk for both my Mac Book Pro and Windows desktop systems. That keyboard would not work until I plugged it into one system directly. The Corsair gave directions about how to use a USB 2.0 port and plug the other USB connection to an AC/USB plug to provide additional power for the LED lights. With this setup I can switch back and forth with my Mac and Windows systems. On the Mac I run the open source CKB driver, so I can have the keyboard light up differently depending on which system it is pointing to.
I like typing on the mechanical keyboard, but it is a little louder especially on conference calls.

Works well for sending pictures to your iPhone

Although it is not the easiest thing to just pop in and use, it does work for what I needed after spending some time configuring the options. I have a Canon T4i DSLR and after configuring the Mobi Pro with my desktop first, I can send just pictures I select on the camera to my iPhone 6 via an adhoc wifi. Although the setup will step you through creating a Eyefi cloud account, it is not necessary to just transfer files to your phone. To speed things up, I shoot Raw + Jpg and configured it to only send the jpg to the phone. I then import the Raw files on my desktop via an SD card reader.
