Kind of like a Japanese smokin aces

I heard a lot about this and finally picked it up when I saw it on sale for $10 (down from $26). The movie was decent, glad to see it dubbed. I have no problem with subtitles, but its hard to pay attention to the action then. Which is the high point of the movie. This was very intense action through the entire movie. The plot was ok, go in to a hotel to get a drug lord, woo how, but it was the awesome street fighting/martial arts action that made this worth watching.
Haven't seen the DVD, but I wasn't too impressed with the blu ray picture, it it may be an improvement from the DVD, who knows.

This is the third time I've bought this movie. Once on DVD, once on HD DVD, and now on blu ray. This is another one of those stupid fun action movies that is actually real smart. The cast is insane, so many big names for such an unknown film. Some of it can be a little hard to follow the first time, but it makes for a great rewatch. With so much action this movie really benefits from HD and surround sound.

I grew up on this movie. I must've watched it once a week. I've had it on DVD for a few years and saw it on sale on blu ray and figured I'd pick it up. After not seeing it for probably 5+ years, it really didn't stand up to what I remember. Sure it was fun, and it look incredible in HD for an older movie, but it lost something. It's a good cheesy movie, but I really didn't need the upgrade to blu ray on this one.

First let me preface this with the fact that I'm not big into mob movies or a lot of biopics, but oh my god this movie is wonderful. Great acting, super suspenseful, and so quoteable. Glad to finally pick this up in HD and to see the extended cut. Must own movie.

Ok for a blind buy

Picked this up as a blind buy because it was so cheap. Pretty decent flick, not worth more than the $10 I paid for it. The action was fantastic and the plot was petty interesting, albeit predictable. Kind of scary to think of if the government really behaves like this.
