I am rating the quality of the 3D Bluray first. I really enjoyed the 3D effects, which work very well with outer space movies like this. The scene with zero gravity in the pool was interesting, and the scenes on the outside of the ship were very good as well. The movie starts slow, but gets better as it moves along. The one thing that bothered me (only a little) was how they conveniently inserted Fishburn into the movie as an engineer who was able to get them access to the bridge and other areas to save the ship.

Great picture and sound quality. You wouldn't know by watching these movies that they were made 30 years ago. It just shows how far ahead of their time the makers of the films were. My only complaint is that they changed a scene near the end of episode VI. (Won't give it away for those who have not seen this version)

The movies were great, but I am going to comment only on the quality of the Blu-ray. The picture quality is great for movies made in the late 80's to early 90's. The sound was thin and not as good as newer Blu-ray discs. I would still recommend this set over the regular dvd's.

I have seen this movie several times before, and the only reason I bought this is because I am trying to get more 3D content in my collection.
