I previously had a color printer that ate toner running thru a "quality control" every time it warmed up from "sleep". I finally kept it awake all the time I was using it.
The HP M553 takes a short warmup when I first turn it on, but when it goes into sleep it comes right out when it receives a print and prints it right away.
Have only had it for a month so don't know how it is with using supplies but the reviews I read indicates it is very good and doesn't waste toner.
It prints very fast and has good color for graphics and is pretty good on photos. Not as good as a dedicated color photo printer, but very good.
So far I am very happy with it.
