Can't remember since the last time I fell in love with Nintendo hardware .. probably either gameboy advance SP or the Nintendo DSi.
I've since played the Wii and Wii U, but never really loved it where I couldn't put it down. I have the PS4, XB1, Wii U, and PSVita in my room and when the PS Vita first came out, I loved that device as portable gaming always appealed to me more. I've put countless hours on my PS4 and barely touched my XB1 and Wii U. But after Sony stopped supporting the PS Vita with triple A quality games, I've stopped playing that also.
Now when this console was announced, I was intrigued and waited for a month before I picked one up to see the initial reviews and I have to to say that it's a great little device. Yes, this console is missing features such as a web browser or even media applications. But that will come later in updates, so I'm not worried about that. But the game and build quality of this console is great. The idea from playing a single player game to docking it on the TV and having 2 controllers to play with another person is great fun.
The whole execution Nintendo created was great and I hope they continue down this path and have third party develops make games for this amazing console. I know that it'll be supported from Nintendo rather than what Sony did to their beloved little portable PS Vita.

Play as your favorite hero with The Legend of Zelda video game for the Wii U. Fans of the old NES game can revisit the original Legend of Zelda to gather the eight pieces of the Triforce once again. Set out on original quests as Link in The Legend of Zelda video game.

I have this on the Nintendo Switch, but also got it on the Wii U because that is why I initially got a Wii U (but rarely played ever).
It's the same game on the switch other than the frame rate and quality. But nonetheless it is a great game that everyone should experience. Amazing open world role playing game and my first experience in the Legend of Zelda series. Watch game reviews if you want more in-depth information, but this is a great game that I highly recommend.

Got this before the drought of LoZ Amiibos because of LoZ: BotW game and the amiibo scanning feature (DLC). More detail on the horse than Link himself. There's nothing painted on his face, which is disappointing, but I can't really complain about it. Great figure and this has caused me to collect all of the Legend of Zelda related amiibos. Which sucks.

Bought this before the drought of Zelda amiibos.
I bought my Nintendo Switch and LoZ: BotW about 2 weeks ago and after I realized that certain amiibos would give exclusive items (think like DLC) in the new Legend of Zelda game. I decided to go online and grab some. Low and behold, most of them are gone and I was able to snag Rider Link and Archer Link via best buy online. This figure has great detail compared to rider link. Other than that it looks cool.

Great little box, but wish there was more features

This is a great box especially if you're in Apple's ecosystem. But I wish there were more app support such as Twitch and etc. But I bought this for my parents to use as they stream their media via iPhone over Airplay since that app isn't on the aTV app store.
It's fast and fluid, but lacking 4K output and etc. I would say pick it up if you're invested in Apple devices and media via itunes.

But the Nintendo Switch version has to be the best as it is portable and has all new content that is currently out. What you also get in the game case can be called a pretty good bonus if you're into the series (stickers). But if you don't care about that, the game play is the same on all platforms, the only great thing is that it loads fast, plays well, and has all the content in one package.
I have the Vita version, but both are great no doubt. It's a great game if you know what you're getting yourself into. It's a rogue-like game that every play through will be different.

I downloaded the demo for this game when I picked up my switch about 2 weeks ago and I've always been a fan of Tetris. But the take on this game is that there's another game mode called Puyo-Puyo which in it-self is an amazing puzzle game just like Tetris. But the great thing about this game is the competitive versus modes, playing with family and friends is a blast as this game came out, I brought my switch over to a family gathering and we ended up staying an extra 3+ hours then we expected as everyone wanted to keep playing.
If you want a great family/competitive puzzle game with great modes, I highly recommend this game as the switch was made for this type of game! (To be shared.)

First Legend of Zelda game I've played.

This game is pure bliss, there's barely any hand holding and it looks amazing on the Nintendo Switch. I have always heard of how great Legend of Zelda games were, but never really played any as my family never got the games when I was younger. But since I am older now and actually bought a Nintendo Console for myself, I wanted to check what the buzz about this series was.
I can say after putting over 30 hours so far into this game that I am already loving it and want to play all the previous titles just to experience them for the first time.
If you're hesitant on this game, watch some reviews. If you love open world role playing games, this will be up your alley as the sense of exploration and feeling of defeating a difficult enemy with your skillset is satisfying. Highly recommend this game to anyone even if you have never touched a previous Legend of Zelda title, like myself.
