I have seen this film numerous times in every format but the 4K disc with HDR is eye popping. It looks as if you are on the set watching things as they were filmed. While it takes some getting used to, the quality is unsurpassed. For those who think it takes away from the film like element the 1080p Blu-Ray is also included. A nice package that sells for less than a normal 4K disc.

KISS put on a great show in Las Vegas back in 2014 and it was captured for this release in a dual Blu-Ray, compact disc set. The set list is pretty good with 3 songs from Creatures of the Night plus Parasite! The Blu-Ray has a bonus acoustic set. The CD is a slightly condensed version of the concert with the solos dropped in order to fit it all on one disc. A great package for KISS fans.
Impressive colors and darks of this LG E7 OLED TV create the ultimate viewing experience. It features a design so impossibly thin and light that it attaches to the wall. Each pixel is precisely reproduced by the OLED technology, creating the perfect color each time, and Active HDR produces breathtaking scenes. Smart connectivity lets you play a variety of applications on this LG E7 OLED TV.

I originally purchased an OLED 65E7P from Best Buy who were selling it as a display model. The price was less than half of the retail so I figured it was a good price. However after having it less than 2 weeks I noticed it had a line in the middle of the picture which turned out to be burn in. I returned it in exchange for an OLED 65C7P. I should state that the Best Buy staff knew the set I originally bought had burn in but they figured no one would notice and if they did they'd simply exchange it. That is quite shady and unprofessional if you ask me knowing the set was faulty but failed to address it as such. Anyhow that fiasco aside the 65C7P is an outstanding television that shines regardless of what you are watching on it...from cable television to Blu-Ray to 4K content. I calibrated the set according to specifications on a website and adjusted it to dark room setting which is how I have my home theater set up. Once I did that things really came into focus. I was concerned how 1080 content would look but it really looks outstanding thanks to the perfect blacks. Cable T.V. looks sharp too...something I wasn't expecting. I had to buy an Ultra HD disc to test that in HDR mode and was suitably impressed. The web OS feature and remote took a little time to getting used to but now it's really user friendly. I'm impressed by the sheer amount of features the set has built into it. I could go on and on but this is worth every penny...just remember to avoid buying display models from Best Buy...always buy brand new and you'll never have to worry about shady practices.

Hard to believe that composer Jay Chattaway went on to fame with the music to the Star Trek Next Generation television series...but some of his earliest and best work was for Bill Lustig's grimy MANIAC film. Chattaway's electronic cues help ground the maniacs unstable frame of mind (obsessing over his dead mother) with lush, almost subtle pieces before laying on the more schizo sequences...revving up the intensity musically. It's a great all-around score that is minimal but very effective. It's great to finally have this on vinyl in an edition that doesn't raid your wallet.

One of the best vehicles for the three greatest scream queens of the '80's (Michelle Bauer, Linnea Quigley and Brinke Stevens), this film showcases each girl's acting ability (playing some hilarious nerds) as well as their unclothed features (after they get possessed by demons). Featuring the longest bathtub scene in movie history! Vinegar Syndrome has restored this film to a glory unheard of...they also pulled out the 'clothed' version that played on the USA Network eons ago. There's more extras on the Blu-Ray as well but I'll leave you to suss them out on your own. If you dig '80's nonsense with piles of gratuitous nudity THIS is for you!

Not many are familiar with this Canadian production (most of which was shot in Beaver Dam Wisconsin) but now that it is on Blu-Ray hopefully it will reach a wider audience. A troubled boy confuses his budding sexuality with weird 'troll' like creatures that live in the titular 'pit.' Are they for real or is it all in his head (considering his teddy bear speaks to him!?!)? Also watch out for a slam, bang ending! An absolute gem this disc has a wealth of extras including a great interview with Sammy Synders who talks about his role in the film (acting as a youngster).

It's nice to see these 6 movies on DVD. 2 films are paired across three DVD's. The best of the bunch is MAD LOVE which stars Peter Lorre as a crazed surgeon. MARK OF THE VAMPIRE might be the best known (considering it stars Bela Lugosi and is a remake of LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT) while THE MASK OF FU MANCHU headlines Boris Karloff (this title was notorious for some racially charged dialog). Another gem is DOCTOR X featuring the late, great Lionel Atwill at his maddest and Humphrey Bogart stars in THE RETURN OF DOCTOR X. Finally we have THE DEVIL DOLL starring Lionel Barrymore. This set from Warner Brother's flew under the radar but even though each film varies from great to mediocre, it's nice to see these FINALLY show up on a digital format.

Well perhaps Opeth will never go back to their death metal roots but Sorceress does contain a few 'heavier' tracks yet progressive rock still flows through their veins. Many of the songs are quite intricate with some quiet moments, but they still clock in around 5 minutes each or so. Fans who enjoyed their last three outings will no doubt find much to enjoy here...but their work takes a while to sink in. The bonus tracks on this disc are solid as well. A great package that won't disappoint their diverse fan base.

After a long hiatus Metallica return with another slab of hard hitting metal. This time they split the songs across 2 discs (or 3 vinyls) clocking in around the 80 minute mark. The emphasis is on simplicity...and less aggression versus their last outing Death Magnetic. The production is solid and crisp. Long time fans will dig the final track Spit Out The Bone...it's as good of a thrash tune as anything on their first three records. It's always good to hear new Metallica material!

Spanish horror superstar Paul Naschy sinks his teeth (ahem) into a dual role portraying the famous Count. His love lorn demise is also very shocking...even for a '70s Dracula film. This is the 'hot' version with plenty of gore and eye-popping nudity intact...unleashed for the first time (legitimately) on U.S. shores. Vinegar Syndrome has prepared a feast for their amazing Blu-Ray that features a stellar English dub soundtrack (and Spanish language version as well) with crystal clear video quality...highlighted by lush colors of the Spanish countryside. Extras include audio commentary and interviews and more. This is a solid package that stands as one of 2016's best horror releases. Grab it...NOW!
