Adequate for occasional use with laptop

I have a laptop with a bad screen. After my desktop failed I hooked the laptop to my monitor. Can't hear the speakers on the laptop so I needed the external speakers. They are nothing special, but are inexpensive & adequate for occasional use.

Having to "Unlearn" Pinnacle 12 to Use Pinnacle 19

I have been using Pinnacle 12 (P12) for video editing for several years. When it was necessary to replace my PC it turned out that P12 was not compatible with OS on the new computer. Pinnacle 19 (P19) was the most recent version available. I was hoping for a seamless transition from P12 to P19; however, this was not the case. The user interface for P19 is significantly different. It is necessary to "unlearn" P12 because of these differences. P19 appears to have more features than P12 and will likely serve my needs for many years as soon as I come up to speed on it

Solved my problem with slow speed and dead zones

Our residence is an approximately 2400 sq ft single story house. As we increased the number of wireless devices in our home and switched to an isp that provided greater than 60 Mbps download speed, our Netgear N600 (WNDR3700) purchased in 2011 could not keep up. I added an extender. This helped, but devices on the net were still slower than the 60 Mbps the isp is providing. I am writing this review on a laptop that is currently connected through the new router and Speedtest.net shows the download speed is 66.34 Mbps. Typically, the router is supporting 3 computers, 3 smart phones, 2 tablets, internet connection to our satellite provider's on demand services, a video security system and a PS4. I have had this router for about a month now and am completely satisfied.

Great for my HP Envy 17" laptop

I am using this with a HP Envy 17" laptop and a Logitec M570 wireless trackball. The mouse pad that is integral with the lap desk is just right for the size of the track ball which is slightly larger than a standard mouse. I have only one complaint. That is regarding the size of the slot provided for your cell phone. I have a Galaxy S5 that is protected by a Otterbox case. The slot is just slight too small to accommodate it.

Boosted signal for on-line gaming in dead zone

My son was having difficulty playing games on his PS4 even though our internet connection is approx 60 Mbps. Checked it out and found the wing of the house where the PS4 is located is a dead zone (photo 1). After checking reviews I selected the N300. I installed it at the end of the hall that leads to the room with the unit. (photo 2) Problem solved. Installation and setup were reasonably easy. My wife uses this + a screen shield to protect her white S4. She always carries her phone in her purse so she was not looking for heavy duty protection like you get with one of the more extreme cases. It is half the price, lighter, less bulky and more sylish than these. She likes that it provides a good gripping surface so it doesn't slip from her hand. It would provide a little protection if the phone was dropped, but not much.

A nice camera to step up from SD to HD with

I have been using a Canon flash memory SD camera for 7 years and was ready to step up to HD. In addition, my old camera had poor low light performance. So far the new camera has performed to my expectations during trial shots. Videos are crystal clear and I have had good luck with indoor videos in ambient light. I am looking forward to taking it with me on an upcoming vacation trip. Only negative is that it is heavier and bulkier than the old camera, but that is a small price to pay for the improved performance.
