How can I program my key fob to work with my remote starter

I have Avital 4000 remote that the key fob doesn't work any more. I can get the same key fob but not sure if I can get it to work with the starter that is already in our truck. It was installed by Best Buy in 2004 and I have all the paperwork.
Contact Best Buy and they should be able to help you
