I'm a full time pro photographer, and I needed a new compact. I'd heard good things about the RX100 series, and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Image quality is top notch - controls are intuitive and much better than any other compact I've used. The viewfinder is a great addition. I wish it had a hot shoe, but in a package this small, it's hard to argue.

I live within a mile of an at&t tower, what would be the average download and upload speed with this device? And also if i buy this flatout for $200 and use a different SIM card, will it automatically activate the device or do I have to call at&t?
No idea about the SIM card issue, but here's what I've gotten. The speeds near 300mb/s on the attached image file are when I tested my fiber connection at home. The double digit test results are all AT&T's network.
