nice for extra ice for large parties

We bought the ice maker to supplement our refrigerator's ice maker. We were forever running out of ice at dinner parties and having to get bagged ice at the store. Our available space was quite small for one so when we found the 15" one we had to get it. It makes ice quickly and it is good ice. There is a filter so the ice tastes good too. My only complaint is that it heats up the space around it quite a bit. It has to be in my pantry for now so that has caused us to do some reorganizing to keep perishables away from it. Other than that it is a wonderful addition to our kitchen.

do i need a permanent drain hook up for this ice machine?
i noticed with the electrolux i would need a permanent drain.... I didn't anticipate that when building the space for the ice machine.

Yes, you do. It is a gravity drain so you have to be sure the ice make won't be jiggled or moved from its position.
