Work with my Macbook pro 13" mid 2009?
Yes, I put one in my daughter's 15" 2009 Macbook Pro. Here is what I did. 1. I got a Apricorn USB/SATA transfer cable kit from Best Buy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/apricorn-ez-upgrade-3-0-serial-ata-hard-drive-upgrade-kit/4351399.p?id=1218475466447&skuId=4351399
2. Attach the hard drive to the SATA connector and the USB port on your Macbook and use Mac's Disk Utility (found in Applications/Utlilities) to format the drive with Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format
3. Use a program like Carbon Copy Cloner to back up your current drive to the new drive. It will copy all the boot files too.
4. Install the drive in the Mac. You can find great tutorials on YouTube on how to remove and replace your drive.
5. Restart your Mac and it will find your new Toshiba drive and boot seamlessly. Carbon Copy may ask you to install a Recovery Disk. If so, say OK.
