Nothing really to say about The Lion King since it's one of the all time classics. I am a bit disappointed with the overall release -- Disney added a few new bonus features, but either dropped many of the old bonuses from the Platinum and Diamond releases or relegated most of the other extras to Digital Only which defeats much of the purpose of buying the physical disc, and dropped the 3D disc from the prior release. Digital is OK, but since Disney now controls the items and if they decide at some point to remove them then it's no different than paying $30 for a rental. I prefer to own and control what I pay for. The Steelbook is an OK design, but certainly less than stellar artistically

Uninteresting Downgrade of Once great product

Honestly there's nothing especially bad about this Kindle except for what they took away. It turns on, it works, it loaded all the old material, but the rest was shocking. My old Kindle Fire HD 8.9 died after years or pretty heavy use. After 5 years I was interested in seeing the updated products and was astounded to find that Amazon had basically taken this tablet backward 10 years -- slower processor, substantially downgraded screen quality, cheap plastic feel. The screen resolution compared to the 5 year old unit was painful to use. I wish I had been smart enough to stock up on a couple of the HDX models whose screens were even better than the IPAD Retinas. I returned this dinosaur after 2 weeks -- while it may be OK for a 10-12yo who isn't responsible to take care of a real tablet or as a disposable for traveling, this isn't a serious machine for an adult

Interesting and Effective early Ghibli

I'm so glad this finally made it to Bluray after years of not being available in the US. This is certainly not in the league with the later Studio Ghibli classics, but given it's origin as a TV production it is heads and shoulders above much of the mass produced by the numbers animation. A much more mature personal story than most US animation tries to tell and even much more basic than some of the more well known Studio Ghibli work without all the fantastical flying pigs and knee deep allegory.

A nice collection put together, but overall after the original Movie which is pretty nice horror movies, things seem to fall apart and fall into a rut. Generally nice transfers of the low budget money makers, but as a series it really doesn't hold up over the years.

A stunning achievement

Who would have thought the Live Action version could hold a candle to the animated classic. The extra fleshing out of the characters, the backstories of the Prince and Belle, and real actors give the story something unique. My wife loved this movie and has a new favorite movie of the last 30 years.
Now just waiting and hoping Disney will see to release the 3D presentation in the US (abominable decision to release this everywhere in the world except at home) hopefully with full Atmos and expanded Imax Aspect ratio. I have a feeling a 4K disc is coming, but given Disney's pullback on 3D, I have a feeling buying an international copy is going to be necessary. A really poor decision by a great company removing options from their customers.

Hit or miss movie. Some people love it and some hate it. Ignoring any past KK movies I find the movies a fun popcorn night. Samuel L Jackson plays his typical role (not a bad thing), JC Reilly agains steals any scene he's in, Kong never looked better. The 3D disc is quite a stunner -- hope they keep releases 3D Blurays since it seems some companies have decided they like them a lot less than the customers. The 4K+3D combo packs are a bargain for those wanting alternatives for now or future proofing. I just wish these weren't so rare and limited numbers.

Another the series of Costner based baseball movies and though it's not in the same class as Field of Dreams or Bull Durham, I've always found this incredibly enjoyable. Less about baseball than actually the actual characters I never get tired of this. John C Reilly, the Yankee fan at the airport bar we've all known, and the mesmerizing Kelly Preston. A remarkable performance by a young Jena Malone. You'll never look at V8 the same
