Of the two movies, Burton does well in Alexander the Great, but the movie suffers from poor writing, episodic scenes poorly edited together, while the movie does stick to history faithfully. In Solomon and Sheba, Yul Bryner is miscast in a mish-mash of pseudo-Biblical history. A typical two-dimensional "toga flick" that was a waste of other-wise good actors. The story surrounding the unnamed and unknown Queen of Sheba is almost entirely fictionalized as the Book of Chronicles in the Old Testament only briefly mentions her visit to Solomon's court.

What's great about it: Richard Burton is always great in any movie!
What's not so great: mostly the acting and script writing
