Spoon's "They Want My Soul" is a big step up from their fine though not excellent 2010 album "Transference" both in terms of sonic production and melodic ambition. Is it better than their 2007 slipstream breakthrough "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga"? No. But the album is compelling and exciting enough to come awfully close. This album will definitely appeal to long-time Spoon fans and serve as a fantastic introduction to those new to the band and their agit-pop-rock sound.

What's great about it: Terrific songs, best production of any Spoon album
What's not so great: If anything, just not long enough!

I like the fact that the adapter is flexible in terms of plug-in length. Wraparound holders for the cable is nice. Best part is the thinner, less obtrusive laptop connector; it stands a greatly reduced chance of breaking off the cable.

Yes, "Morning Phase" is in the same emotionally contemplative mood and elegant approach of Beck's first masterpiece, his 2002 album "Sea Change." While "Morning Phase" doesn't achieve that album's peaks, it comes awfully close. Well worth every penny.
