although the 6 is good for a normal dive, you can't risk a $400 camera because you're sure you are staying shallow. Un-cased 5 might be fine for snorkelers but no PADI diver is going to stay above 10m all the time. So buy it and be done!!

I have a 2+ year old Surface Pro 3. I travel heavily, and in and out of client offices presenting/teaching, and so it is docked and undocked constantly. The USB port is getting loose and the mini-display port is starting to get real flaky. so I bought one of these so at least at home or at the office, I can get a solid connection to external monitors and peripherals. My reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that this is quite a brick! Between the cord, the power supply "brick" itself, and then the actual adapter, its a lot of weight. Had hoped to be able to use it as aportable solution but a bit too heavy for that.

In late 2014, I bought the Rivo Keurig. There are three versions of Espresso from Lavazza, all of which are excellent. This is the "darkest" roast version with there being a middle Classico and a lighter Delicato available. Hard to say which one I like the best, all are superb! This one I usually use with 5 parts skim, 1 part lowfast chocolate milk to make a very light mocha latte. Light on the chocolate but heavy on the espresso.

In late 2014, I bought the Riva Keurig to make latte and cappucino at home. My regular coffee machine now sits unused as this is pretty much all I drink. There are three versions of Espresso from Lavazza, all of which are excellent. This is the "middle" roast version with there being a darker Intenso and a lighter Delicato available. can this be pass key protected, as i do not want any of my neighbors to start connecting and playing music
No it cannot but there is no need. To establish pairing you must physically push the pairing button on the device. So your neighbor would have to be next to the device to initiate pairing.

Can this device be connected in a car using the 3.5 mm jack, and does it have 12v power capibility?
Not as purchased. It's power supply comes from a 110V AC typical "wall wart" transformer that drops it down to a DC signal. That said you certainly can find a car adapter to purchase that would power it if you dig around a bit. And yes, if you had a device with bluetooth audio paired to this device, you could feed the output of the device from its 3.5mm jack into the external/AUX input that many car radios have. Although almost any device that would be playing music would also have that same output jack and you could handle it that way. I could see someone doing what you describe so that maybe someone in the back seat streaming Pandora could sync to the car system to play music without needing a long 3.5mm to 3.5mm cord.

How long do the batteries last in the keyboard?
Keyboard specs indicate it uses 4 AA batteries - how often do they have to be replaced?
The keyboard batteries will last some multiple of YEARS. We think of the keyboard as the most used item but the keyboard transmits the keystroke as a very fast pulse. Thus the drain on the batteries is minimal. I have the original batteries in 3 of these keyboards with the oldest being right at two years old. I travel a lot and have two offices so my use might be lighter than others. But suffice it to say you have months and months and months of use even if you are an author who is banging out a novel with 6 hours of non-stop typing a day.

Green Dots
The sales rep, recommended this for use with my Surface Pro. It projects the screen to my TV but video is laced with green dots and thus unwatchable. After trying to change settings, I'm beginning to think it is a quality issue.
You are probably correct. Normally missing colors or specific errors like you describe are the result of weak connections. I would return it and hope that's all it is. If another adapter has the same problem, than likely it may be the output on your Surface. I've had no issues with this and opted for the Apple product just because like Microsoft, they tend to sweat the details on their hardware. I have used mine on multiple monitors/TV's with zero problems. I hope you just got a bad one and an exchange solves your problem. Much easier to swap the dongle than to exchange the Surface!
