Blackberry Smoke deserves their due.

So a few years ago I bought a ticket to see Blackberry Smoke, who was an unknown band to me me. Wow! Not only did they put on a great show but their songs were fantastic too. Great lyrics and sound with more of a southern rock feel than plan country. I own all of their music and the new album is just as good as the old. I just don't understand why more people haven't heard of them. The band just posted a video on their Twitter feed of them playing Mississippi Queen with Leslie West. Epic performance, check it out on YouTube. If you're a fan of good music then pick up this CD. You won't be disappointed. And I bet you end up buying their older cd's too.

Love me some Alter Bridge

So I've been an Alter Bridge fan since their beginning so i may not be the best person to review this. I love Myles Kennedy's voice and the band as a whole. Every time they come to town I'm there. If you like great rock music and song writing, you can't go wrong with this cd. The songs are a mix between heavy (not that heavy) with a few slower songs. It's great to listen to a song and be able to understand the lyrics. For new comers check out One Day Remains, AB 111, Blackbird, and don't miss Live from Amsterdam, to really appreciate this band. And if they come live to your town, don't miss them, they always put on a fantastic show.

So over the past few years, Opeth, has changed their aggressive style music and have mellowed out. I can't say that I enjoyed the last two albums so much. But this one works well. A nice blend of the new with a hint of the old thrown in.

My kids turned me onto Tegan and Sara a few years ago. I really like their music. This album is different though and has more of a pop feel to it. It has grown on me, but die hard fans may say different.

I've always been a fan of Black Label Society and Zakk Wylde. And although I never heard Book of Shadows part 1. I can say that part 2 is a very nice collection of songs for when you want to listen to something a little mellower. Zakk Wylde really sounds good doing the acoustic thing and I think anyone who loves music would enjoy this collection of songs.

I bought the Samsung S7 and was looking for a second fast charger to use at home. I came across this wireless charger and thought I'd give it a try. Works well even with the case on the phone. Sometimes it seems like it doesn't charge as fast as they claim it should. This may be because the case is attached. Overall i would recommend this charger for someone if they are thinking about going wireless. Check other stores for a lower price though, Best Buy price matched Walmart. Great deal. I also have a Blackberry Z30 and it charges this phone as well.
