I had to update from a Note Edge when it stopped working. I probably would have stayed with the Samsung Notes but we all know the story with the Note 7. So I started looking at other options. I really considered the S7 but I decided to give the Moto a try. What drew me first were the mods especially the battery mod. I really like to have an extra battery around but since that is becoming less available on phones the fact that I could snap on a battery case was a big plus for me. The second thing I really liked is the fact how thin the moto is, without any of the mods of course. The phone performance is great and I haven't noticed any significant difference between my old Samsung and this one. Obviously this is quicker since it's two years newer. Like with any new phone there are some things that I miss and some things I like more. I don't think the camera is as good as Samsung, but it's still good. The moto does have an SD card slot so most of my pictures music etc moved over nicely. I haven't had any problems with calling or signal. The size is comparable to the note just slightly smaller but I haven't noticed a difference. In all I'm happy with the moto. I think anymore the "flagship" phones are more similar than different so it was just a matter of getting used to a new UI. Honestly if Samsung didn't have their problem I would have just got the Note 7. The Moto has been a good phone so far and while at times I miss the Samsung environment those moments don't last long. In the end I feel the Moto is a good alternative to the Apple Samsung dominated market.
