I love Sheryl Crow. And yes, even the Country album she did, which didn't really sound that country. What sets Crow apart is her songwriting craftsmanship . People always want an artist to stay stuck in their own favorite period in time. They hear the early hits and then when an artists starts to experiment (which is the very nature of art) they drift away.
I have ridden the rollercoaster of Ms. Crow's tunes and always appreciate the journey she takes me on. If you listen with an open mind to her releases, they are great, melodic nuggets from an artist that does not stay stuck in her past. She moves on and evolves and we become the richer for it. Sadly, it's the fans that don't evolve that seem to keep her past work as the only work they can relate to.. That's a shame, they don't know what great art and song craft they are missing.
Thank you Sheryl Crow, for still staying in the game.
I am new to fully embracing FJM. This is the album that I bought and am discovering him through. It's a great piece of work. I think he is one of those artists that's going to keep getting bette with each album.
Aimee Mann has had a nice output for her career. This album stays in the same lane as all of her other albums. Lyrically and melodically superior song craft are present once again.
I have been a Michelle Branch fan since her first album and with the Wreckers. In my mind, nothing will top Hotel Paper, but she continues to evolve as an artist and, her song craft is still great.

I accidentally stumbled on to Switchfoot several years ago. Since then I've been a regular buyer of their music. This albums till remains true to their sound without being stale.

As usual HP, just continues to take advantage of the cartridge needing public. And there don't seem to be any alternatives. Sadly, they seem to have cornerd the market on theses machines. .
