After getting it home and installing this with my dryer, there was a whistling noise that was driving me crazy. I pulled it all back out and found that the whistling was coming from the flaps that hold it all together. They weren't tight enough and was letting air sneak through the seams. Once I crimped them down and made them tight, the whistling stopped and my sanity returned.

The case protected my phone very well but during a call no one could really hear me with out my headset on. While driving this wasn't a problem, as I was already set up for that. But walking around or at home, it was very frustrating to have to get that set up quickly.

Can this hose be connected to another if I need a hose longer than 8 feet?
If my dryer hose needs to be longer than 8 feet can I connect this hose to another one?
Yes. Just purchase another kit and use the elbow with matching ends to connect the ducts together.

diameter of dryer vent is 6"
I just bought a used Frigidair dryer, and the standard 4" hoses don't fit that nor do they fit my wall vent - one is 6" and the other is slightly larger. Are there 6" hoses/kits or adapters? I can't find any, and I've searched the internet (Sears, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.)
I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I have been delivering for Best Buy for about 7 years and have never run into a 6 inch vent. The only thing you could do is go to a hardware store and get an ABS pipe reducer. I hope this helps... and isn't 4 years and 5 months too late.

Is this for changing the dryer to a side vent?
No, that would be an entirely different kit. This is meant to go between the dryer and the wall. It should not pass through any walls, including the dryer wall.

can I use this with a gas dryer?
Yes. Please do not use standard duct tape, it is a fire hazard once it dries out.

what is the tape for
The tape is used to secure the ducting if a clamp is not able to be used or if you puncture you vent. Never use standard duct tape due to it being a fire hazzard once it dries out.
