If this were big budget Hollywood, it would be 4 stars, but this movie has a far more natural indie feel that is simply, extremely well done. The end might be somewhat predictable, but the ride keeps you on edge and leaves you with a feeling of revelation. My wife kept asking: "What was 'It'?!" It came at night and look what it left.

I am not sure why the reviews were low and not many people went to see this, but my family loves this movie. You don't have to be a Nascar fan to like this. It is funny as heck and a bunch of fun to watch. It, also, explores how outward appearances don't always dictate the content of a person. Daniel Craig is a hoot!

The Return of the American Film Musical

If you know what my summary means and remember the works of Irving Berlin, you are going to love this. If you aren't into Theatre or Film Musicals, this might not be for you, but you might want to listen to a few tracks anyway.
This is a modern-ish blend of Musical Show Tunes and Jazz (Poppy and Sad at times). The blend is an emotional roller-coaster, much like the film. After all, it is the soundtrack. It can leave you feeling depressed, hopeful, and excited all at the same time, which I do believe to be quite an accomplishment.
I think my wife still has it playing in her car. Compared to most modern Pop, I would say the "La La Land" Soundtrack is an easy investment. I, personally, didn't think anyone had anything like this left inside them.

This is easily one of my favorite Dragon Quest games. This was the first one to really draw me in. In all honesty, the prior games are good and all, but they drag quite a bit. This one can get you hours in without any sedentary feeling. Unfortunately, it does, like most JRPGs, reach a few slow points, but the concept and the first 30 or so hours are a great time worth finishing.

A darker and colder take

If you went to this movie knowing this was a Kickboxer reboot with JCVD, you should buy this. If you didn't know, then, read this review and decide for yourself.
I grew up in the 80s watching JCVD, Stallone, Segal, etc. I hate the term reboot. Even the sound makes me cringe to think how Hollywood butchered another classic. In the 80s, we knew what a movie should be, action movies were all about action, martial arts/martial arts, etc. Acting expectations went with the style of the movie.
...which brings us to Kickboxer Vengeance. We have a fighting movie about fighters in a brutal competition. We have an exotic setting that fits the story, with culture everywhere.
JCVD delivers a commendable role as Master Durand. He focuses on training in unconventional, but effective ways to develop strength, dexterity, and endurance. He delivers a serious but warm character, which is pleasantly fitting.
Bautista delivers a cold, brutal Tong Po. He speaks little, and when he does, you wonder who is next. Rather than teaching, he observes his students brutalizing each other. Training is a competition for survival with any failure leading to death. It is primitive, but fits the perfect mark of an adversary. Bautista executes this flawlessly.
So, is the acting good...not really, but you did not come here for the acting. You came here for a little old school JCVD goodness, and while I would have wanted to see a bigger role for our man, you are definitely getting what you wanted.

While Anne Hathaway may knock it out of the park in the movie, everything about this performance is far better than Hollywood. There is a reason why this has been more expensive than the movie for so long, even though it was released before the movie to theaters. This is as close to a live performance as you can get on a disc.

There are better drives for more money, but the bang for the buck of this product is hard to deny. You will definitely notice the difference between this and a conventional spindle hard drive, but not as much when compared to other SSDs. This drive is where I would say depreciating rewards begin on a SSD. If you need a SSD, no frills, this is your drive. If you need the best, you shouldn't be reading this review.
