iPads do not need any recommendations as such. These are proven devices which are good for games, checking emails, social networking, painting, etc. The app store is humungous. Think about something to do, and there would be an app for that. Also, moving from Android, I found that the quality of apps is much better in ios.
The tablet is also useful for limited office work - like viewing documents, ppt, pdf etc. Not using it for editing the documents as such. Guess with the range of apps like microsoft ones, google and apple ones....you can do these too.
Did not go for the WiFi + Cellular model as i was planning to use it with the personal hotspot from my mobile whenever i am on the road. But for those who prefer direct connection, would recommend going for the other model.

This is an awesome 2 in 1 laptop, tablet etc. The i7 hasswell processor does the job pretty well. The 4 modes for me work flawlessly - Laptop, Tent, Tablet and full flat. The screen is Quad HD + , and is the best to work with for a windows laptop. I have got to buy a stylus, and would update the review then. One negative is that the scaling is not good at times, but since this is something that is a WINDOWS issue. Hopefully this gets resolved in Windows 10. The issue is that at times the font in any message box is really small.
A must have for any home user, students. I use it for all my personal applications - like managing finance, movies, songs, microsoft office applications etc. Photoshop is something i have not tried on the laptop yet.

What is core M
Core M is a different family of processor - which is lower on power and better on battery life. The haswell and broadwell processors are low on power. the skylake ones launch recently are better on power too.
