I was looking for an affordable clear protector for my new Fates 3DSXL and the Duraflexi provided just that. I like the flexible nature of the protector which makes it easy to put on the 3DS while providing a natural grip to the console. Unfortunately, the subtle black design of the Fates edition 3DS becomes indiscernible with the protector on.

Most people come to this game for the "plot" but end up staying for the combat. The game openly shows fanservice everywhere so be aware of that. However, the combat is a solid 2D style brawler that can be challenging if you're not paying attention. The characters have development and there are a lot of missions and optional things to do (story, challenge mode, special missions). There are DLC missions but these are extra and do not impact the main game by not having them. The game is also in English text but use the original Japanese voices.
The Double D edition itself is above average. The 2 CDs (60 song soundtrack) have their own holders, unlike other special editions which have the CD in a paper sleeve. The game even comes with a manual in the case, which is unusual in this digital age.

The exploration JRPG I wanted

I have not played the original on the Wii. With that said, this is an amazing open world JRPG in terms of combat and gameplay. The combat is slow during the first few hours but increases in depth once you get more arts/skills and invest points in them. The open world is very beautiful and more often than not you will find yourself just exploring the land to take in the views.
The game is not without fault though. Some of the prominent ones are a lackluster story, enemy pop-ins even with the data packs installed, and bad sound mixing during cutscenes. However, despite these flaws, the world and combat is immensely satisfying, which keeps me coming back for more.

Good game but mechanics made it unenjoyable

Yo-kai Watch is a monster catching RPG and often compared to Pokemon. I liked the setting of the game and the graphics were colorful and nice to look at. The yo-kai designs are also cool and each one has their own personality.
What ultimately made the game bad for me was the yo-kai catching mechanic, which seemed to have really low success rates even when using the best food that each yo-kai liked. If you don't succeed, you have to find them again which can sometimes take a while, and the entire process can get old quick.
If you can get past the weird catching mechanic or have better luck than me though, it is a good game.

Feel the rush of performing in a real band in front of real crowds who react in real time to your performance. You'll either win the crowd or lose them. Plus, your band mates will also let you know if you're rocking out or need to pick it up. Fight the stage fright and bring down the house.

I only have a Wii U so I was excited when I found out GH Live was coming to the console but disappointed when Rock Band 4 was not.

Stella Glow is a solid strategy RPG that combines a lot of gameplay mechanics from other games that I enjoy. Combat is in isometric view with things like turn order, facing, skills, and terrain type/terrain height coming in to play. There is no fast forward button though, which can make battles seem slow. Out of combat, there is a time management system where you manage time spent between increasing bonds with teammates, exploring for items, or doing jobs for money. The story is also great with many characters but it will take an hour or so before it gets rolling. A nice addition to a gamer's library if they enjoy a good story and SRPG combat.
