Outstanding picture for the money

Unless one wants to spend multiple thousands of dollars more for an OLED display I would suggest this LG is well worth the money. I was about to buy another brand when the salesman told me that this was the lowest cost TV that had true HDR. While 4K is relatively early in it's roll out, I wanted to be ready for the new content as it becomes available. One thing I learned the hard way is one needs to pay attention to their input source. We had a lightning strike and it also took out our satellite receiver and the tech who installed the new HD receiver forgot to turn on the HD on the satellite receiver. Watching football games or high motion the movement content was making me sick....it was terrible. But this was not the LG TV's issue...it was the input not being set right at the source. Once I fixed this the picture during games and high motion are awesome. The only drawback on this TV for the price (non-oled) is that the black level is not consistent over the screen in a dark room. This is really only noticeable when the whole screen is black or mostly black. For example when the credits are scrolling at the end of a movie. Overall I would give this a big thumbs up for the price point.

New Receiver is awesome

I needed to replace my old Yamaha AV receiver due to a lighting strike. The new Yamaha AVENTAGE 9.2-Ch receiver was my choice because it does everything anyone should need and then some. The on line reviews of the AVENTAGE receivers was very positive and I have been a Yamaha fan for years. This new receiver allows me to bring all of my HD video signals together in one place and the built in WiFi and Blue Tooth are a great resource for listing to music and pushing the content to other rooms. I have a lot to learn as this receiver offers many options in terms of mulit-zone capabilites that allow me to have different content in different areas of the house, or in my case out on the patio. Right out of the box this receiver sounds awesome and I am just getting started

Will this have too much power for a 5.1.4 set up using polk 265rt for front R/L, 255c-rt for center, 65rt for my rears, and 70rt for in ceiling atmos speakers?

This receiver puts out 140 watts of power from 20 to 20Khz. Your main R/L are rated at 160 watts but the others are rated lower....but not much. Keep in mind that you will not be running this receiver all out. When ever we run a piece of equipment to it's limits we start to put it into distortion. The distortion is what would be most damaging to your speakers. The other channels are typically running at lower levels for surround and ambience as well. I can't tell you what to do, but I would have no problem running this set up in my house. You might also consider a subwoofer to add to your system. This receiver actually has two subwoofer outputs. I think you would be very happy with this set up

I'm looking to purchase the Klipsch R-28 F speakers. Will this receiver have enough rms to drive the R-28 F's safely?

Yes, these speakers are rated such that they will handle the power from the receiver with no problem. Like any set up, you need to understand that if you drive the amplifiers to their limits you will end up with distortion and this could damage the speakers. In this case you would need to be running the amp at the upper limits of it's capabilities. In most cases normal listening volumes are much lower than the amplifiers capabilities. The headroom allows for crisper music. Tight base and clean midranges and highs. I am sure this would be an awesome combination.

In the title of the TV it says, "With High Dynamic Range." But when you look under specifications for HDR it has a NO in the box. Which does this TV have?

Yes. This TV does have HDR. It can be turned on and off in the setup. In fact the salesman shared with me that this was the lowest price point TV to have what he called "True" HDR. He said a lot of them can receive the HDR signal but may not be able to process it.

Is this particular tv wall mountable? There is an existing tv mounted but it is a 42 inch tv

Yes, but you would need to know if your current wall mount is capable of the weight of this TV and whether or not the mounting holes on your wall mount expand to the size of this TV.
My guess would be yes to both but you would need to know the specs of your current wall mount and look at the weight capability.
