30th Anniversary.... WELL DONE!

Not only was the casting done right (the BEST) but the historical accuracy was spot on! Loved all the extras that this 30th Anniversary edition included. This film picked up 4 Academy Awards for sound, score, editing and best sound effects!

Spectacular Movie with great effects and filming!

It seems that most people are 50/50 on this movie! I thought the filming was great the special effects even better! It walked a very thin line from science to science fiction! I watched the movie two days before I visited the Kennedy Space Center LOL! Kinda very me a new respect for the individuals that go up there and the people that support them! Overall the Blu-ray experience with this product was excellent! I loved all the extras they threw on the this disc. The negative; I wished it was itunes friendly not NOT Ultraviolet.

Great price for a season of an HBO miniseries was my first thought! Lots of great extras to break up the season or to watch at the end! Overall quality and value is EXCELLENT! Took some time to get all the data off of itunes but now I can icloud any episode anywhere I have wifi to my ipad mini!

I grew up with GI Joe; with that being said I can't bad mouth this movie! I loved the first one, bought this one and will see the next one too!
If you are looking for a stirring plot and character development, this is not your movie. If you are looking for a fun movie, with good action and special effects then buy this one. I can't believe critics try to rate every movie based on skill of acting, plot, and character development. C'mon folks, it's G.I. Joe.... YO JOE!

Good Sci-fi movie

The underlying story is interesting and I suspect the book was probably pretty good, but the movie spends 80% of its time focused on Tom Cruises's character's patrol flights. Some cool effects, but most of the movie is just Tom and his outpost partner patrolling the planet. Morgan Freeman is maybe on screen for 15 minutes. So some good eye candy with the effects but no character development and minimal plot.
I must also add that this movie (Blu Ray) did NOT play on my PS3 I bought two copies of this film and neither of them would work. The DVD and the digital HD copy was just fine.
