I enjoyed using the Apple Pencil on my new 2018 iPad. Playing around with the various brush strokes, going from broad to narrow, the pencil's drawing capability is as nuanced as you would expect it to be on an iPad Pro model let alone this baseline iPad.
Note that while may apps have Apple Pencil compatibility, you may find that to unlock its full potential you have to buy 3rd party applications that are not free (but highly recommended) like Pixelmator and Procreate, or even SaaS applications like Adobe Illustrator Draw. Plan ahead.

This iPad features the A10 chip, the same as in the iPhone 7. Even though this the chip is more than a year old at the time of this review, it is more than powerful enough to handle anything you can throw at it… for the next 3-5 years, at least. 2 GB of RAM is at the low-end of the spectrum, it's too bad Apple didn't bump this revision up to at least 3 GB.
Let's face it - most people will be buying this for the Apple Pencil capability, myself included. Works great with the Pencil, but for many apps like Pages and Keynote, a simple update was needed at the time of purchase to enable the Apple Pencil functionality within the apps.

If you like quirky mission-based games with female protagonists, the Gravity Rush series is right up your alley! This second game in the series is several times larger than the original, with beautiful environments, and (sometimes) intense gameplay.
Please note that the online servers are scheduled to shutdown on July 18, 2018, which may lock players out of costumes and other online-only content. If you're a collectivist like I am, you'll want to start playing this game today in order to unlock everything before the shutdown!

I've been using various versions of Quicken since 2004 on the Mac. My version of Quicken 2015 - although receiving constant updates from Intuit (and now Quicken proper) - finally reached its last legs, with Quicken finally turning off the tap of online compatibility and updates.
Thankfully, the newest version of Quicken goes on sale fairly often. Don't pay full MSRP if you can wait a few weeks or so. No matter the cost, having two more years of guaranteed updates is well worth it.

Having played the free version of Cave Story on PC years ago, I still find that this Switch version is worth one's while. Each previous iteration of the game (on Wii, 3DS, etc) has had additions such as extra levels, graphical updates, which are mostly included (and wholly optional!) on this release. Even multiplayer has been added to the Switch release, which is an awesome plus. Recommended!
